yeah i would love to do that, but the problem is, i have already reported the incident to just car, they have sent me a letter awaiting my claim now. :D its just farrr too suss for my car to get 'stolen' after they were waiting for me to make a claim on the accident. itd be awesome if i didnt already report it though. bleh

Getting worried now because Im also 19 and rolling around with third party insurance...

Hope you get the money out of the guy...

So what if it would be shifty that car gets stolen lol. Bet its been done before haha.

There is always fire caused from the accident when you tried to start the car lol

Might not be the best time, but im interested in the demister airvent if its in good condition :D

Like vultures to a corpse..life of the poor skyline driver

ahh shit, bad luck dude. It pisses me off just reading it. Can't imagine how you must be feeling right now.

I complain paying my $970 a year full comp with Just Cars but I guess it is worth it after all, since there are so many f**kwits getting around without insurance.

yeah.. now i have to drive a shitter 'cuz everything i invested is gone and wont get anything back. im thinking of an ae86 and dropping a ca18det, so at least i can still drift. some wicked power/weight ratio

Yeah, speak to a lawyer. When i got T-boned by an 'unsavoury' character (read - prime candidate for today tonight), the cop i spoke too said doing it through them would lead to him paying $2/week from his dole cheque for the next ten years.

Get a lawyer, take his car. and his house.

Damn, that sucks..... but what if someone stole the car now?...........

Hypothetically speaking, lets say it was parked out the front of your house. I assume it's still registered. Let's say you were intending on driving it to the mechanics (If the quarter panels aren't damaged, then can I assume that the rear axle i OK?)

Suddenly, in the middle of the night, a nasty person makes off with your pride and joy!

Would this hypothetical situation result in hypothetical $5,000?

Just a thought.....

Too bad it probably wouldn't work. Insurance companies would be all over something like this, although they seem to loathe to return your calls in a genuine dispute.

you've told them your car was in an accident, so its not worth $5k anymore. its worth $5k without existing damage.

not to mention insurance fraud.

lol it's gone! im happy with 3 anihoos. i was only expecting 2, i just wanted it gone so i can go buy a shitter to get around in. time to get on with my life :) time to invest in something with a return now

what? did you sell it for 3k including the 2way lsd and other mods?

i would have given you 3.5 easy....

yeah, i sold it with all my mods. sold it to my mechanic/panel beater so i can see it being rebuilt and stuff. a lot of people have called me offering me more money, but i really dont mind letting it go for that price. im still going to chase up the bloke for the damages though. :)

    • Clinton and I spoke to Alan Heaphy at length last year at the Bathurst 1000 about the Gibson GTR's that he had at the track and the restoration work that his company was involved with. He has a number of people working for him who were part of Gibson Motorsport when these cars were being built and raced. What impressed me the most was the amount of first hand knowledge and information that he and his team have about the Gibson GTR's and their meticulous attention to detail in the restoration and maintenance of these cars.
    • When you track RPM vs time it's clean, unlike the OEM one, even with filtering there are ripples. Means no random misfires or triggering issues at higher RPM, especially if you have big lift cams and a noisier valve train due to heavier springs.
    • Brake Fluid testers are cheap and readily available....eg https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/endeavour-brake-fluid-tester-rechargeable/SPO9539349.html
    • Cleaner signal so timing is more accurate at all rpm also found it to start more on first rotation but could also be I've nailed prime and crank fuel. For under $400 and 30mins of your time, its a good solution especially once the optical sensor does start to play up you won't notice it until in higher rpm and it heat soaks.
    • On a 400hp RB, what benefits other than "it's not 30+ years old" are you seeing from the NZ Wiring Kit trigger setup? If it were me going to change triggering, my belief would be to go for a crank trigger to remove the issues caused by what people claim is belt stretch etc, but that's from my understanding a much larger issue for super high power, rather than those in the 400hp and below club.
