Just thought i'd post up a picture of my 1984 300c. I'm pretty happy with it so far (had it for 8 months) - and i've only seen 2 -3 others around Melbourne during that time. It runs the vg30e motor with a 4 speed auto. Gets up to 100 around the 10 sec mark, and handles really well too.

Might do some sort of engine conversion later on, or just lower it slightly and give it a fresh paint job.

Hi there,

Nice looking car. Seems to have been looked after very well. I'm sure I'll see you around the traps. Be sure to wave and say hi!

yeah i bought it of a dealer my friend knew who said it was traded in by some old bloke, so i got a pretty good price as they probably took it off his hands for next to nothing

Well the car isnt at my house at the moment, partly because there is no space and partly to prevent me driving it  but maybe this summer come around and we'll compare

I'm actually trying to source a motor for it at the moment, as the timing belt pulley bearing broke and i got a new pulley and belt put on it but its had a miss in it since- im thinking maybe a bent valve somewhere..

i got a quote at 660 but that particular wreckers didnt have any in stock. i might ring the one in centre road, see how many kms are on the one u mentioned..

I cant fit spacers, otherwise it starts rubbing the inner guard in the rear. It's pretty tight in there due to it's height. The fronts I'm running 5mm spacers to clear the struts. If I go any bigger, I wont be able to steer the bloody thing!

    • Im also amazed how well Attessa holds up to all of the abuse. Especially with the burnouts and crap you guys used to do at Texi!
    • True! I think I'm closer to 06 with the cameras in phones being out there more. And the nearly impossible to use internet web browsers. Or paying for ring tones... Man I hated when we couldn't just compose a ringtone on a Nokia anymore! These days I just hate it if my phone rings, beeps, boops, or vibrates!
    • In 2003 no one could afford a phone with a camera, most people where more amazed about the phone having a blue screen instead of a green one
    • They did have cameras. Except the top of the line ones only took photos with 8 pixels. I still remember how we all used to run around with a phone, a camera, AND a window mounted GPS. 3 separate devices! That was the era I bought my Skyline too. Before the iPhone 1 was even made! Oh, and the Dolphin era Pioneer head units. Ha ha ha. 19 year old Matt with an R33 Skyline, doing really dumb shit. Heck, I think I'd already done my first RB25/30DET swap with big high mount before the iPhone 3 (second iPhone) was released! I definitely had my Twin Turbo Supra too before the iPhone 3.
    • I mean sure, but locally I've seen people actually break oil pump gears, especially narrow drive even without hitting the rev limiter. And that was decades ago, locals here are buying cars that have lived that life the whole time and are finding out what happens when these cars have been run hard and fixed on the cheap for 25-30 years. I do think most of the failures I've seen are cases where people "let the nissan out of it" doing improper rebuild but sometimes people really do just get unlucky after 30 years and their "60,000 km grade 4B" car decides it wants to be naturally aspirated now.
