Traction Control In R34 4-door?

I've read lots of posts about the traction control for other drives with r34 - and they all talk about a switch under the steering wheel to control this.

When I got my car - I didn't have a switch there - and the alarm LED has since been put there.

Additionally, when turning on the car (and all lights in the dash light up) I dont have any 'TCS' or 'Slip' up the top as I've heard others mention - I had taken this to mean my car didn't have traction control and was satisfied with this. However! Whilst fitting my 0gauge cabling for the amps & stereo I noticed a fuse in the under-bonnet area for TCS - ripped this out - and the car turned into the one I bought - with copious wheel spin and power-slides and heaps of fun to boot.

But - this leaves some obvious questions!

Do I just have dead globes in the dash and the 4-door doesn't have a switch?

Have I been gypped by the importer and had a dodgy and had my dash replaced with one without traction-control lighting / switch?

Any thoughts from folk is appreciated

Dont know whats goin on there but in my 34 4 door has TCS and the switch

My 4 door has the switch. (neither light up when I start the car)

Perhaps whoever installed your alarm "used" the switch to run wiring, not realising what it was for.

Does yours light up when all the other lights do when you start the car?

Might be time I poke around behind the dash and see if they've chucked the switch in there or something ...

Hrmm - wonder if i can get a replacement switch or something if not ... grr, what a mess!

My 4 door has TCS and the switch. TCS and SLIP lights light on when you first start the car.

wouldnt suprise me if the dash was replaced with a non turbo dash with lower kms b4 it was put on the market in japan

Sounds like a thought, cause yes all 4 door turbos have the traction control as standard.
