Andyn
Hey guys, This blue (10) fuse keep blowing on my r32 gtst (Fuse box under the bonnet). I have replaced it twice and has blown twice. Once this fuse is blown i cant use the left low or high beam. The right side still works, obviously. Has anyone had this issue before? if so how did u fix it? What would you guys suggest I check to get to the bottom of this issue? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168748-fuse-keeps-blowing/ Share on other sites

White GTS-T
Hey mate i had the exact same problem in my R32 GTS-T. You need to run the left hand headlight off of the right hand one. Create a relay and your problem will be solved. It seems to happan with a lot of 32's. Andyn
How is it working now? Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram of the factory setup? Also it was working fine last week - it just suddenly happened...? Can you elaborate on create a relay? I want to give this a shot. Andyn
I have seen some threads of the headlight switch being faulty. i have pulled it apart. What am i looking at which could be faulty? Nothing looks melted but i have noticed that the middle POT's spring is stiifer than the other two. Also i have noticed two of the connections for the headlight white plug are brown (overheat)? Fixxxer
The headlight switch is one problem, blowing fuses is another. 1. Mine was blowing/melting fuses because someone had installed a 100W bulb instead of the 55W standard H1 bulb. Check your headlight bulbs first to identify if some nob installed a higher wattage (100W) bulb thinking it was brighter. The brown/burnt marks on the white connector is most likely being caused by the 100W bulb. Change to 55W bulbs (you can get 'brighter' 55W bulbs from any auto parts store) 2. Your white plug with the 3 black 'pots' should all be of equal length, it appears as though both the outside black pots are of shorter length (more rounded). You can attempt to elongate the spring underneath the black pots to match the middle pot height. White GTS-T
Hey mate i haven't got a camera on me at the moment but i'll try and get some pics posted up soon of my setup. That way i'll be able to explain everything alot clearer. I was in the same boat. Everything was working fine then it just happened. I blew a couple of fuses before i decided to run one headlight off of the other now everything works fine. To create a reley you need to splice the wires going to the working headlight and then run the wire across to the other headlight. But like i said i'll try and get some pics up soon. Goodluck. Andyn
Thanks Guys. I fiddled around with the switch and now it seems to be working fine - touch wood. Down the track I'll prob create a relay though, to make them brighter.
