i am inKuala Lumpur at the moment..

anyone from here or along those lines.. know if there is anywhere to buy bits...

tail lights.. kit bits... dash kits.. any sort of rice at all..

holla back i am here till the weekend..

Yeap go to Sunway. There are at least 20 car related shops there. Also if you have the time you can head over to SS Racing nearby this place called OUG. If you were to go to Sunway, ask anyone there and they'd be able to direct you to SS Racing which isnt far from Sunway. They have a very large selection of parts both 2nd hand and brand new.

when I was there, I went to a place called Brothers car parts and accessories.

they had a huge selection of car parts and audio gear. Heaps of rice parts as well.

Haha Brothers is sort of like Autobarn here. They have a lot of cheap rice parts but they are pretty poor quality and i doubt they cater to skylines besides some universal stuff. I personally wouldnt recommend going there coz you may be quite disappointed haha. They're ok for audio gear though.

Sunway ftw. Beware though, car modification in Malaysia is expensive, therefore don’t expect to get quality bits cheap (as I found out), you will be disappointed. Nengun / Greenline is way cheaper. Went to Brothers also, looks good from the front…lol, inside lots of crap everywhere, mainly just tacky stuff to bolt onto your Proton (of which there are eleventy billion of in KL).

I'd say you're back but don't waste your time at Brothers. i went there last time I was in KL and it's exactly like supercheap, but much much worse. There' not one real performance part in the shop, all "Monza" and "Type S" brand type stuff. Audio might be ok there though. There really isn't much quality car parts to legitimately get in M'sia unless you know people :)

It really depends, where you look. There are places in malaysia that does some serious mods and stuff. You just need to look around. Pick up their local car mags that are in english, and you'll get quite a good idea, loads of adverts, some with prices to boot. So you can roughly gauge how much after exchange rate.
