Rb20/25 Turbo Differences

I have bought a Rb25 turbo to swap onto my rb20 and it looks almost identicle to the old one. Half way through the swap and now I notice. Is there any way of telling them apart numbers, etc.

Not sure how old it is but think I might be going back to the guy I bought it off.

25 says 45 v nissan on the compressor.

the r ugly poo turbo says nissan motor 16v

hey mate

i can't say anything about the r32 turbo becasue i haven't gotten around to my swap yet.

but my r33 turbo says 45 V 4. so yeh r33 should be 45 v something (1,2,3,4).

There is plenty of info on these forums about the stock turbo numbers, and with the upgraded search engine, its easier than ever.

Please have a search around on this forum.

There are pics, specs, part #'s and all other basic info covered.
