Thanks for a great day.

I've decided its time to post up some constructive criticism for the benefit of the staff that ran todays event for ideas on future events whilst risking getting my cars keyed :D

Location:

It was a great place to get the general public to stop and look at our cars, maccas and hj nearby were also very convenient, I did miss the lengthy cruise back like previously at Mingara. I didn't agree with the physical layout of cars + staff etc. Having the staff in a more central location with cars around the outside would have been ideal. I'd say 85% of people congregated up the front where the least cars were with the other 15% spread around the rest of the area. Also the staff area prevents the general public driving past from seeing the cars on display, all they seen were tents and a bbq.

Music:

Eww yuck grrr! Am I getting too old or was the music about 10x too loud? Were we holding a disco or a car display? I honestly couldn't talk to anyone properly within 50m of the speakers so didn't even bother looking at the cars right up the front let alone have conversations with people and absolutely nobody I talked to today (general public, sponsors, staff, entrants) mentioned any good words about the music (sorry Mr DJ). I also noticed that some of the music contained swearing, is that a good idea when we had parents with little kiddies wandering around looking at our cars, not to mention having a set of traffic lights behind us meant that every man and their dog had to put up with our noise! A simple random FM radio station (2dayfm, nova, edge) would have been quite sufficient I think (or maybe next year we could get them to come out and broadcast live which would certainly get more public attending).

Car Displays:

My only thought on that was that it would have been nice if the different models were grouped together abit better. Sure some people wanted to park to their mates but it would have been nice to get pictures of a line of 33 gtr's together or r31's, im sure everyone liked having a couple of different stagea's beside each other to compare and take photo's of.

Staff/Judges:

Who were they and where were they? When did my car get judged and by whom? A couple of cheap hi-vis safety vests would have been nice as it was hard to tell the difference between organisers and just sau-members with sau jackets.

Prizes/Winners:

Good work Abo on presenting the prizes to all winners, would have been nice if they could have stayed up the front for some group photo's at the end, im sure all the sponsors would have liked pictures of that for their workshops.

Guys with little dicks:

I'm talking about the retards whom decided to do a motokhana on the way out of the park. I don't think i've met or seen any of them before and probably won't again which probably explains why they decided to be stupid because they aren't used to our general rules. The only way to stop it would be to have a HWP car sitting at the exit gate and bust them as they do it.

I'm sure I have more to add but i'll leave it at that for now. It was a great day out (especially with my new car) thanks heaps to all the organisers and I look forward to next years event.

good day.and congrats to all the winners.

good sussage sizzle you girls put on there.was a highlight of the day.

oi!

Girls!

I cooked that mofo! :D

The girls were just the gorgeous faces that extracted as much money from your wallet as possible :P

I was just dissapointed at the amount of people who were walking around with fat maccas when we had such great food fresh from the plate :D

jeers to the wanker who wanted to cause trouble over somthing so little.he has to realise that skylines australia are held responsible for the parks condition.dont worry little bro your not the only one out there who was caught.next time get caught by the cops and pull that shit.end rant..

Amen to that.

I was pushing for those in charge to report number plates to the police for destruction of public property.

So your lucky, if it was up to me you would have been dealing with the police.

But enough on that....

Great day. Loved it all. Just wish I had more time to look at the cars rather then cooking, but hell, somebody had to do it and I was more then happy to feed you lot :P

I vote that next time, the coasties cant enter any raffles :P hahahaha

Though not technically a coastie the group seems to win and dominate every SAU even we go to, there might be something to that Chris.. maybe you should come and hang with us more often might bring ya more luck :D

Ben

You do make some good points...

However, with the judging, it was said on the PA system that judging will be taking place - I think Wayne mentioned it 4 or 5 times to stand by your car if you need to discuss things with the judges

I was a judge - I was in my SAU shirt and Hat - true - vests could havebeen better - noted for next year! but when you have two people with clip boards getting down and upclose to a car...you an tell theyare a judge :D

But some of the entrants did not stand by their cars nor did they mark which section also - interior, engine bay, exterior

so with that, we did all we could.

Next SnS if you come or join the comittee, we could certianly address those issues more - it is a learning curve for us and next SnS will be better!!

We do appreicate all comments, criticism and it will all be taken on board for the next one!

And hopefully LESS dickhead factor - Ian - a few of us have the rego plates so I think we should push that further!

They are the typeof morons who ruin it for the rest of us!

yeew go the coasties ( even though i won nothing) go!!

at least 90% of us resisted the urge to tear up every last sceric of grass on an oval that was originally nice and well looked after. boo hiiissss to the bell ends who had to drive with DIH (d*#k in hand). NOONE THINKS BIG OF U " makes pinky sign at ferel grass chewers"

but anywho great work to all SAU staff and the sponsers. much luv

Well done to the organisers today, top turn up, 110 cars I think and very few prolems considering so many cars in one recently wet place!

Personal favourite was the dr30, it was super clean and you just don't see many of them around.

And a huge thumbs down to the dickheads at the end who cost us $1000 bond with the council.

Finally, brilliant effort from all the sponsors, there was great support for the event and it meant there were plenty of great prizes to go around

Oi! I represent that comment.....

I can't help it if everyone loves poor little povo.... or if they're all scared of me!!! :ninja:

It was a great day. I was really disappointed of the behavoir of a couple of Skyline drivers that (quite frankly drove like they owned a commodore)

***EDIT i decided to edit my post and not single anyone out. Everyone saw you and we were not impressed. ***

Who knows. sorry i just had to say something. We drive skylines we dont need to show the public that we have a small penis by spinning the wheels on wet grass AT one of our own events.

Thanks for such a great day everyone!!!!!!

Thanks for everyones participation on the day :)

It was a great Show and Shine and it was great to see soooooo many nice cars on display and meet some of you...

Thanks to everyone that helped out on the day I know we couldnt of done it with out you!!

I am not happy about the way some certain people left at the end of the day...all you do is ruin it for others and make it harder to put these types of events/shows on and even make us lose our BOND!

But enough of that...

Well done everyone was a AWESOME SHOW AND SHINE and I cant wait till next year to do it all again!!!

Well I think you should get in contact with known idiots to cover the $1000 lost.....big point u made, ur car can wheel spin on wet grass....did they actually think ppl would be impressed?

Thanks to the organisers for organising a great day! :)

Compared to a few shows ive been to the day flew past!

And thanks for the raffle and calling me out 3 times!! :(
