Nice side skirts.

Thanks Adam. Now my engine bay will look a little prettier with that Nismo Raditator Cap from Slide, just got the Tein SS off him like 2 weeks ago luckily the Show N Shine.

Please do not put the GCG TOYO and the white DATO up as I might need to use them in HPI and to garantee a spot in the mag the dont like them on the forums before they hit the stands

I dont have them, they are too far away. Sorry about that.

I was emailed this from the driver of the skyblue R33 with the lambo doors

To Whom It May Concern:

Hi my name is Romeo I attended the show and shine skylines Australia show last Sunday the 1st of July it all went well but as I was leaving I drove recklessly and caused some damage to the grass resulting with a possible loss of the bond paid to hire the field.

I would like to apologise for my reckless driving all though others did the same on their way out thinking its ok for me to drive recklessly its no excuse to leave the way I did so I apologise for my actions and I assure you if I am invited to attend another skylines Australia show this will never happen again as I have learnt from my mistake.

I know that all members of Skylines Australia who were there on the day worked very hard to make the day possible and Im sorry it ended the way it did, so again Im sorry for my actions and as I said I assure you it wont happen again.

Thankyou for your time and I hope I can still be part of your shows in future.

Yours Faithfully

Romeo

oh and Dif i noticed u stole my Airbox design....... >_<

Haha.. did you make that one up! I didn't cut this one.. I just panted it :)

Hey, Gotta cover those stupid pods up somehow!

You always attract people Corrine.... and with that dance it was like flies to poop :(

Haha awsome *does some more banana dancing*

i don't think romeo should be made to pay the bond alone.. you have a list of people that caused the damage, divide the 1000 by the amount of people, and ask each to pay that amount... think thats fair if you guys want them to cover the bond cost! I do not think it fair to make romeo cover all costs.. he is obviously sorry about his accounts and that speaks for him.

i second that for paying the bond money. Its time for juliet *coughs* i mean romeo to show some responsibility because i think an apology isnt enough. Use you head dude before you act becuase we all have to suffer for your stupidity.

I didn't suggest him alone to pay - but I think it would be a suitable way of making these people accountable for their actions, whether they are sorry about it after the fact or not.

Also, I don't appreciate the fact that my money (I am a club member so that is my money (as much as it is everyone else's in the club)) Has to be wasted on the poor decisions of other NON members.

Maybe solve the problem next time to make the function members only. Even though it was open to everyone to boost numbers but atleast it will have people aware of the rules and have general common sense.

thats if they even care!!

This seems to be a running theme.. i remember a sns a few years ago where the same thing happened! grass and cars on grass seems to always bring the same reaction from certain drivers

and the only thing left to ask is: what did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I ask some of the culprits straight to there face why did you do it?? and I got now response from them

Plus was telling everyone as they were leaving at the gate..."No burnouts and please leave nicely" and with one particular White R33 with 19inch rims and a P plater thought it would be funny to get it sideways the minute he got out on to the road after I asked him very nicely NOT TOO!!

All they do it wreak it for others and make it very hard for councils to be willing to allow us to use there parks to host a show.....

    • Hi guys, has anyone either purchased or built themselves a rotisserie for their car before? I can only just justify the need for one hence why I should just make one but at the same time, if I make one I can kiss another 4 weeks of potentially productive car working time goodbye because I'm building a bloody rotisserie....  I mainly want it for the application of the body deadener.  Cleaning the old stuff off, priming and then colour over the deadener doesn't worry me, it's just the application using the Schutz Gun that I feel would achieve a significantly better finish painting it side on and keeping the Schutz Gun upright.  I don't think they would work well on the side let alone almost upside down for some areas.  If the product I use (Terosun, etc) could work through a HVLP ok then it might be ok to apply without the rotisserie.   I can get one of these style ones for about $1200 which is pretty good value-     I reckon if I made one it would cost around $500 but it's more the time that it would take is more of a killer than the cost.  They look to hold their value pretty well second hand so I could always sell it after using it and realistically only lose $200-$300 at worst.  Or keep it and buy another project when this one finally sees the light of day... Anyone selling one...? Cheers!
    • While it is a very nice idea to put card style AFMs into the charge pipe (post intercooler, obviously), the position of the AFM and the recirc valve relative to each other starts to become something that you really have to consider. The situation: The stock AFM is located upstream the turbo, and the recirc valve return is located between the AFM and the turbo inlet, aimed at the turbo inlet, so that it flows away from and not through the AFM. Thus, once metered air is not metered again, neither flowing forwards, or backwards, when vented out of the charge pipe. When you put the AFM between the turbo outlet and the TB, there is a volume of pressurised charge pipe upstream of the AFM and there is a volume of pressurised pipe downstream of the AFM. When the recirc valve opens and vents the charge pipe, air is going to flow from both ends of the charge pipe towards the recirc valve. If the recirc valve is in the stock location, then the section between it and the TB doesn't really matter here - you're not going to try to put the AFM in that piece of pipe. But the AFM will likely be somewhere between the intercooler and the recirc valve, So the entire charge pipe volume from that position (upstream of the AFM, back through the intercooler, to the turbo outlet) is going to flow through the AFM, get registered as combustion air, cause the ECU to fuel for it, but get dumped out of the recirc valve and you will end up with a typical BOV related rich spike. So ideally you want to put the AFM as close to the TB as possible (so, just upstream of the crossover pipe, assuming that the stock crossover is still in use, or, just before the TB if an FFP is being used) and locate the recirc valve at the turbo outlet. Recirc valve at the turbo outlet is the new normal for things like EFRs anyway. In the even of a recirc valve opening dumping all the air in the charge pipe, pretty much all of it is going to go backwards, from the TB to the recirc valve near the turbo outlet. But only a small portion of it (that between the TB and the AFM) will pass through the AFM, and it will pass through going backwards. The card style AFMs are somewhat more immune to reading flow that passes through them in reverse than older AFMs are, so you should absolutely minimise the rich pulse behaviour associated with the unavoidable outcome of having both a recirc valve and an AFM in the charge pipe.
    • Yep, in my case as soon as I started hearing weird noises I backed off the tension until it sounded normal again. Delicate balance between enough tension to avoid that cold start slip and too much damaging things.
    • I'm almost at a point where I feel like changing the alternator. Need to check the stuff you mentioned first though.
