i've got the 430 on my liner and it performs well and truely on par or beyond hks, garrett turbos i've seen the 480 wouldn't give you much more lag on a 2ltr 'v' 2.5 ltr the compressor housing is still the same i believe however you have a larger exhaust housing on the 480 might even be the same housings just a bigger wheel don't quote me on that though.

having dealt with many garretts i noticed a lot of similarities between the kkr core and the garrett cores woudln't suprise me if they are one and the same. very tidy turbo for your money you won't find better good luck with the sale auto.

oh for those interested i made 223rwkw before i maxed my afm well and truely thats with the 430 on an rb25. went the 430 cause a mate had one and i got it cheap the 480 would be nicer though haha but oh well the 560 would be better again nice choice mate

it come onto boost around 250-300 rpm later but had more mid range and massive top end which made for the little loss down low to the standed turbocharger .thanks

How do you know it is 250-300rpm later?

Isnt the turbo brand new like you said? It cant be brand new if you tested it, its now second hand :)

Im just curious, especially when the graph you posted is identical to the one supplied on the Otomoto website

The turbo has never been fitted ,so it is brand new .The reason i know that it boosts later is because i just fitted on last week and dynod before and afteron a slightly moded r33, so that answers that question. As for the dyno graph yes you r right as i put it up there for people to see as a referance and to check their web site out ,i didn't say this is my dyno graph .so unless you want to buy the turbo dont waste the space mate .ps these turbos work very well and r well priced as well .Thanks for looking >_<

the graph is off the otmoto website to give better perspective with all the appropriate mods i would assume, the car one is currently on and been tested with is mine at 219.7 kw atw standard injectors and a standard afm and yes i have a new afm arriving shortly and injectors well i'll be happy with the estimated 230rwkw until i can afford some injectors. since i'm too poor to own a scanner thus no graph fo you all to see. if you want to save money and get what i now know to be the exactly the same perhaps better than this is the buy.. many people speculate about anything non garrett or hks i've dealt with them all and at the end of the day having had a garrett let go a cartridge of ball bearrings :) the otomoto has out performaned it. :)

  • 3 months later...
can the kkr 430/480 only be a high mount on an rb25det? is it possible to have it in the stock factory position? any photo guys?

Will fit on standard manifold low mounted.

Can fit on a high mount manifold, will need custom lines and also custom dump.

So i can fit the kkr480 in the stock turbo position on r33 gtst? Will i just need to order the RB dump pipe from otomoto?

Can anyone confirm please?

Thats right.

They are only oil cooled I believe so no need to use your water lines. You can block those up, and your standard oil return and feed would work.

Personally would get a nice braided oil feed for a nice smooth flow and easy installation.

    • Did I tell you I really love skylines ? ! ‽
    • Ha ! Did mine as well. Used a Z hose I got at Supercheap and cut out what I needed. Then while everything was off changed out the water heater control block and the heater supply hoses to silicon on both sides. While attaching said hoses to the plastic hose fitting that goes through the firewall to the heater core they crumbled due to age. Got new heater core supply pipes, de gassed the air con took out the glove box pulled out air-conditioning fan unit and took out the heater core went to change out the busted pipes and went nope ! Went and got a brand new heater core, attached the heater core pipes, put the air con fan unit back in, re attached the new silicon heater hose, put the air conditioner fan unit back in got it regased annnnnnnnnd Bob's your uncle ! 5 minute job really ! AND I AINT DOIN THAT SH*T AGAIN ! !
    • just under 600rwkw , 1650cc,  pump e85 ~80% duty   Your 1200s won't make it safely
    • What’s the labour like on it? And how much better is it than the stock one? Guessing a lot stronger.    I would be shipping from Japan to Hong Kong so not that bad…
    • It is the entire transmission BUT you must swap in your old transfer case. There is no transfer case on the back of it. Comes with throwout bearing for the OEM pull clutch and Super Coppermix Twin pull clutch, new clutch fork, pivot, cotter pin, washer, and clutch fork boot as well. Keep in mind shipping is killer for such a giant piece of metal. I got mine from Trust Kikaku USA which shipped a container full of them to Long Beach and I had to pick it up from their warehouse.
