Hey Everyone,

I think the fuel indicator maybe stuffed.

I purchased a R34 GTT about a week and half ago, had put in fuel 2-3 times since I have had the car (however had not yet filled tank), and had no problems.

However I filled the tank for the first time yesterday, have just noticed that the the needle has not really moved, maybe very slightly , however I have done around 80km since I filled her up.

Also when I turn off the car the needle stays put (at full basically).

Is there any easy fix for this do you think?

If it is stuffed, do you think it will still warn me when I am getting close to empty?

I have no idea yet, how many Km's I can get out of a tank, so makes it a pain in the backside.

Anyway guys and girls , thank you in advance for any assistance.

Regards,

Cargle.

Yeah, try ask in the skyline section, but for what it's worth,

The cefiro fuel gauge stays still when you turn the car off (even if you pull the cluster out it stays put).

And 80km's isn't too much from a full tank, you should be getting at least 400km to a tank, I would expect more from a newer car (R34) and depending on level of mods, maybe even 500kms.

Do another 100kms and see what the fuel gauge is doing then.

Otherwise it's not very hard to remove the fuel gauge/pump cradle.

My Cefiro fuel guage needle has recently developed a quirk of its own.... I fill the car up, the needle says half full. I drive 200 km, still half full. Drive 300 km and the needle starts to move down rapidly. 320km the warning light comes on.....

but I do have a 1jz, and I don't drive it too carefully so I know that I'm getting terrible economy... but the fuel level sender has got to somehow be stuffed.....
