Hi everyone

I have a R33 GTS-T Series 2 (1996)

Just wondering if anyone as performed this conversion before as per the thread title. I'm well aware of the conversion that Paulr33 is undertaking

But my questions are:

Can the RB26 Powerfc just be plugged in and powered with blowing it up?

I think there are only small differences like :

1. AFM wiring

2. No VCT

3. Different settings (I can fix, I have a FC datalogit)

If anyone at all has any ideas or knows where someone has documented this, please post them!

oh, and if you're just going to post "Just go and get a RB25 Powerfc" don't bother. I already have one. I want to wire in the pro.

hi,

i think this is possible, not sure that it is reasonable.

1. you can rewire it to run two mafs or parallel the signal from single maf. i`m not sure about the second, but imo it is possible.

2. nvcs control @R33 is pretty easy. you just have to know rpm -- stock rb25det works at 1050-4500 from memory. i think you even can use apexi rsm to control it -- or make a standalone device.

3. you answered it yourself :)

rb26 has two O2 sensors -- the easiest way here is to turn o2 feedback off.

rb26 controls fuel pump in different way (it`s 3-stage fpcm @rb26 instead off 2-stage @rb25det). The easiest way is direct wire the fuel pump, or you can wire in rb26 fpcm unit.

rb26 wants to see airtemp sensor -- there is no one @rb25

that`s all from memory. good luck. interesting to see the results.

oh, about the plug -- the plugs are the same, but you have to re-check that all wires are in the same places, maybe you will have to swap some.

can anyone confirm what he is saying?

Would be nice is someone shared their knowledge

have you read the pfc fact by paul, it explains everything, if you have read it and still have these questions i suggest read it again.. i was going to *adapt* a pfc to my car. i then got talked out of it, would be intrested to see how you go.

i think this is possible, not sure that it is reasonable.

I agree, a Bee*R rev limiter offers both additional features of the pfc pro and can be had for a fraction of the price. You also don't have the drama's of wiring up something that's not meant for your car and when buying the pfc pro you run the risk of buying that's already fried.

Not meaning to be rude but WHY?

If you r after launch control or ignition cut limiter it would be a whole lot easier to go the Gizzmo electronics

Tach recall &launch control combo or Bee*R launch control (though not so sure about the Bee*R unit)

You get to keep vct and everything else and still achieve the ignition cut rev limiter

And 0km/h rev limit launch control thingo as well

Just my 2cents worth
