Biggest Tyre You Can Fit On A Gtst R33 Series 2

As the topic states, im looking to get a new set of rims.

But what is the widest i can fit on a r33 GTST series 2? Without scrubbing, hitting etc... 8"? 9"?

It has standerd suspension if that makes a difference

The wider the better

Plz help ASAP

Ive got 18x9's on ther rear with 18/265/35 tyres on..

Had to have the guard rolled.. but it fits perfectly now and doesnt scrub

Front are 18x8 with 18/245/40 and just miss.. ever so slight scrub at full lock going into a driveway etc

Rim offset will also come into play..

If i was buying again id get 18x8's on the rear... but my rims were 2nd hand and too much of a bargain to pass up

18x8 and 18x9 are the common fitments for R33GTSt

about a +35 offset in each sorts out any inner / outer guard issues.

I had these on my GTSt and ran a 235/40 and 265/35 tyre combo.

Refer to the > Wheel sizes & offset thread.

As mentioned by MotoMan the wheel offset, as well as, tyre specs are the main factors how wide you can go.
