I searched around without success.

I've reached about 95% on my AFMs and I'm looking to upgrade. I have a PFC about to go in.

Z32 appears to be the standard upgrade, but that's larger then I need. I was wondering if RB25DET AFMs would be a good upgrade. I gather two 25DET AFMs will flow more then the R32 GTR items????

Anyone done this change? Or any other suggestions.

Just get twin Nismo AFM's.

The are a Z32 sensor, in a stock AFM housing.

Therefore they bolt up to the factory piping. This is a key factor as it saves $$$ having to redo all the cooler piping and a lot of dicking around.

The Nismo AFM's are the next step up from the stock RB26 AFM's

Re-doing the afm piping isn't an issue as I was looking at reolacing the lot with stainless, just interested in if the rb20/25 afm was a workable upgrade or not.

Considering that I will only be paying for the materials, not the fabricating, the rb20/25's might work out cheaper than buying a pair of nismo afm's.

james.

rb20 and rb25 afm are same size and same calibration.

Rule of thumb for Air Flow meters RWKW & Engine BHP

added nismo afm onto paulr33's table

------ ---- OD ---- RWKW ---- RWKW ---- BHP ------ BHP

No of AFM's ---- ------- 1 -------- 2 -------- 1 -------- 2

RB26 ------ 65 ------ 149 ------ 299 ------ 271 ------ 474

RB20/25 --- 80 ------ 226 ------ 453 ------ 376 ------ 683

Z32 ------- 80 ------ 255 ------ 511 ------ 415 ------ 763

Nismo----65------------------570

Q45 ------- 90 ------ 302 ------ 605 ------ 479 ------ 890

Yes,

I have put 2 RB25afm's on my gtr...bought for $200 dollars...second hand off a member of this forum...got them fitted...modified old intake.

Had to buy 2 adaptors from Just Jap Sydney $80.....total...

So was in for cams and retune anyway...so fitting was $200(That is cutting the Tomie pipes that were there...installation of some adaptors as mentioned and

some silicone hose and clamps....it all looks good...total cost..

$480.....

If I knew this before...would have bought the Nismo items.......direct bolt on...lol...I did not need new plugs.....

Z32's require...plug adaptors.

If I find my post I will give you a link.

Nismo/Z32 are identical. So not sure what your getting at there.

And that above table is wrong.

I made 270rwkw on PULP with a Z32 and it was nowhere near maxing out. Same as a lot of other peoples.
