Where The Ecu?

I have an aftermarket Mines ECU to put in but don't know where the stock ECU is located (yea - kinda basic but still..) Where is it located and are there any trick to changing them out?

the ecu is located at the passenger 's kick panel.

so inside the car on the left hand side up front below glove box

first remove the door sills and will be some kind of bolt you just need to pull..

especially if you didn't know where it was i wouldn't change it. unless its plug and play

Bottom left side, passenger side. (under the glove box).

Take the passenger side "SKYLINE" garnish off slightly to reveal the kick panel connector. Pull it off, just some plastic connector thingys.

No real tricks in taking it out.. Just becarefull with the wires ey as you can see below..

Take off the bolts circled, refer to image below to see placement of where the bolts are.

well it is a plug and play thing. you will need a 10mm socket to screw the harness out.

but you need to be careful with mines or similar pre tuned ecus....should put it straight on a dyno to make sure all the afrs and timing is safe

hey mate u will need a screwdriver as needs to be screwed in tight

You need a 10mm socket and driver to screw it in, and yes screw it in pretty tightly, as if it comes up when your car is moving.. iono.. It might transform into a transformer? ok that was random
