Autobots - transform!

Latest trailer with ALL KINDS of energon fueled goodness including some neato airborn transforming trickey by Starscream.

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/17/transfo...-trailer-debuts

And, of course - a revisit to Juz's favourite My Little Pony :)

I hope it's as good as it deserves to be.

My only fault so far is that Bumblebee is not a bug, but a GM car.

I know that they gotta save costs where they can, but c'mon.

too bad this means that there will be no Mirage (F1 car), Hound(Jeep), Wheeljack (Lancia, I think) or Sunstreaker (Lamborghini).

You know, I'm probably nerdy enough to try and get some autobot badges made to put on my R32.

I've stopped watching all the trailers as I'm waiting for the movie to come out and don't want to spoil it.

Bring on July 4th already! :)

There was a poster at Village Cinema, saying its coming out on 28/06/07.

We get the movie before America?

Ive seen some transformers stickers appearing on import cars already haha

Man, I'm so hanging for this!

I even went over to my Dads the other weekend to find my box of G1 Transformers & bring it home, all packed up tight some with their original packaging.

Yes.... Im a geek, I know.....

well i was keen to see this when they released the original teaser...

but then i saw this...

a MICHAEL BAY film

and then i shunned it... and now... seeing the cast... its gone back to the back of the movie list of movies i want to see.

And yeah... not making Bumble Bee a bug... is about as gay as as gay can be

oh yeh is that rodimus prime or optimus?? i liked optimus better.

rodimus was a hotrod not a truck.

your thinking of Ultramagnus the other truck im assuming... was a car transport type of truck who took over when Optimus died

A quick check on wiki showed that VW and Porsche did not want to be involved with transformers at all, as they didn't want to be involved in "War toys" Apparently VW were happy to make Engines for Hitler, but not for robots that save the world.

So it seems that the evil GM might have just been a means to an end.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't make starscream into a MiG-27 or something, instead of an F-22 (to replace the original F-15 that all the "seekers" were) because as American movies teach us, American planes are only used by the good guys!

Still. Wish there was an R-34 transformer.

It's funny though. Transformers, technologically advanced aliens. Pretending to be American muscle cars with all the engineering of a toaster.

Ni - Normally I'd point and scream out 'geek!' - but I know exactly what you are talking about so I'll just stay quiet.

:D everyone loved transformers as a kid... wish i kept all mine. Think the only one i have left is Grimlock

"Grimlock angry!"

"Grimlock destroy!"

lol how sad.

    • Good morning all, Bit of a random question but figured I’d finally throw it out after wondering for a long while. Before I start, I'm hoping to do this purely out of personal preference. I think it would look better at night, and don't mind at all spending a few hours and dollars to get it done. I've copied this from a non-Skyline specific forum, so I apologize for the explanation of our headlight switch setup that we all know. Here we go: Zero lights (switch off) Parking lights (switch position 1) being a rectangular marker on the outside of the housing, my low beam being the projector in the centre (position 2), and a high beam triggered by my turn signal stalk. Most North American cars I’ve owned of this era have power to the amber corner (turning indicator) light as part of the first switch (parking lights). I’d love to have these amber corners receive power when the headlights and parking lights are on (headlight switch), yet still blink when using the turn signal which is of course a separate switch. Hopefully I’ve explained my question correctly. Is anyone aware of a way in which I might be able to achieve this? Thanks in advance
    • My heads are cathedral port! It's likely possible, but I don't want to add any extra moving parts (I know they don't move) between the heads, manifolds, etc. It will also affect how injectors/fuel rails etc sit and I don't really know if it would change how the FAST manifold goes/sits/fits. I have the LS6 steam pipes already as I have a very late LS1 block so it should be fine. I couldn't find anyone who had ever actually used one for this purpose, it seems 100% of people grind the water pump. The thermal spacers are 12mm and are half way to the cost of the newer water pump anyhow... so if it comes to that I suppose I'd rather buy a new pump. The bearing in the pump I do have is a little.. clunky, but it hasn't done that much time and I never noticed it when the car was together in the past few years, so..
    • The bushing has failed, not all that uncommon for a car of this age.  Any mechanic should be able to push in a new bushing for you, or you can probably buy the entire lower control arm, complete with bushes.
    • Could you not use "thermal" spacers to give the clearance, like the ones I used between the blower and head? That raised the manifold height by around 10-15mm Albeit the ones I used were for cathedral ports, but I assume they have similar for rectangular ports????
    • Thanks Paul I reached out to Autotainment but they no longer work on JDM cars as the guy who used to do the work moved on and is no longer doing that kind of work. I am talking with Level Up Audio though.
