craig V8 taffe
http://www.motorauthority.com/news/superca...-black-miracle/ Was thinking of giving an old U12 Pintara TR-X a matt finish, with matching black rims and tinted glass and lights.. Going for a whole sleeper look.. Ferrari looks hawt in any color, can't really say the same for the Pintara. (B1) MR_fanny
i like it bar the wheels. satin black is pretty good also. my friend was telling me how his gf knew someone who had their IS200 done in matt black in brunai. looked crazy but always got greasy finger prints all over it. ha. if you really want a sleeper look leave it looking stock as a rock. GTAAAH
I don't mind them if they're done right.. I've seen a few old 8's in matt black that look tuff and a r32 gtst in matt (with 500 odd kw) that looked decent. would love a mk1 golf gti in matt, lowered with some 17" Y spokes.. mmmm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/169372-matt-black-finish/#findComment-3134705 Share on other sites

Medium Dave
I like it, incidentally my favourite artist is picasso I was thinking about painting my 32 matt black, and some detail in gloss black, it needed a respray anyhow - but the decision was made for me when it got stolen, foolish car. Goon
Matt cars look like they had a coat of black primer but no one bothered to finish the job. Matt makes you look like a wannabe tuffy, and does nothing to promote a "sleeper" look. If you want sleeper, go for stock appearance Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/169372-matt-black-finish/#findComment-3136431 Share on other sites
big_d
matt paint is definitely not for the sleeper look. it does make a car more unique tho... bit of a change from all the candys, harquelins etc.. deriq. lol how tough does that 300 look tho ^^^^^ Edited May 22, 2007 by deriq Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/169372-matt-black-finish/#findComment-3136963 Share on other sites

_8OO5TED_
is the matt balck finish any more expensive/cheaper than a general re-spray? Spunky Munky
guys... don't really like matt-black... looks too rough and not slick enough. I love the after-market jet-black metallic paint. damn hot. craig V8 taffe
is the matt balck finish any more expensive/cheaper than a general re-spray? Assume it'd be cheaper, no need for that wet sanding and the final doesn't need to be smooth.
