Consult Interface Problems

hey everyone, have got a ecutalk CONSULT interface in my car and was running all peachy until today when i swapped my computer with a mate. they where both rb20 computers and my car is running the same just CONSULT is no longer working. its is coming up with power but then telling me that it is not connected to the ECU. could there be a fault in ecu....but yeah worked fine in a mates sr20det pulsar and then in my r32 gtst....any ideas??

or an ecu that is from a skyline made up to or before 9/89? those very early ones didnt have consult capabilities.

if the ecu is originally from your mates car (and not elsewhere) and he doesnt have the consult port, thats the problem. (or check build date/month). if u have the ecu part number (23710-XXXXX) i can check if its one which should/shouldnt work.
