damn.

one question tho, was it a turbo? whats so rare about it? (just curious)

if it's non turbo - i thought they are fairly common...

hope they catch who stole it, and hopefully its still in one piece!

There are GTS-4's and GTSt-4's (not actually called that)..

basically the R32's GTS-4's were more commonly turbo, with a few non turbos around... the 33 GTS-4 were all non turbo.

As far as i am aware.

Every time I (or people I've gone with) have test driven a car at a yard, they ALWAYS have taken down full driver licence details, sometimes they even grab a photocopy of your licence.

Apart from being common sense to prevent this sort of incident, I expect it would be a requirement of the insurance cover the yard carries in case "something bad" happens while a buyer is test driving the car.

Also a good idea when selling a car privately :uh-huh:

That's truly ****ed.

The thief probably didn't care what car he got... it's white, and bucketloads of cars on the road are white... less conspicuous.

I hope it's returned soon.

*ponders how to electrify his R33's shell*

ima get me a south afrikan anti hijack system (flame throwers all round the car)

WITH remote control

that way

if ur car gets theived

u can just keep pressin it every now and then randomly

perhaps u'll burn em

and if some bitch trys to hijack u

*press* *burn*

    • We have 2x Swifts and my plans for a Swift, unfortunately, do not extend to an intake and an exhaust. I've been having dirty thoughts about a 2.5L Suzi V6, AWD gearbag out of a suitable donor, rear floorpan graft to take the rear cradle from same, and either trumpets of evil or a small supercharger. If I'm going to make noise in a Swift, I want it to be anti-social, evil handling and rough. Probably need to be fully stripped inside, matt black paint, plastic windows, 7" wide wheels, big brakes, silly suspension, etc etc etc. I have no idea if any of the proposed driveline components could take the pain. But it would be a hoot finding out.
    • Really, anyone modifying a car isn't being financially smart. We're doing it for the things we love. And honestly, a high revving, light, NA car is actually pretty darn fun. I used to have a Swift Sport, and I miss that thing as a daily, and yes, doing something like some intake and exhaust stuff would have made minimal gains, but would have bought an even bigger smile
