trouble with bov

damn bov's.

hey guys, my blitz seems to not release any more, only releases at very very high boost, any one experienced problems like this?

normally it released with anything around or above 3+psi (pretty loud), now it doesn't release until peak and its really soft. the flutter sounds real good, but thats coz i think the airs going out thru the filter instead of the bov. it just started doing this yesterday.

i have a friend whose bov got stuck shut, but mine still releases just only really high. wonder if any of you guys have any ideas on how to fix it.

(p.s. no comments like - "i dont have a bov, just get rid of it, or throw away the rice.")

i've already got it, dont have a stocker, and would like to fix it.

mate of mine had this sorta happen.

you may find the bov is clogged up with oil and shit if you dont have a catch can. take off the bov and clean.

Search for catch cans as to why there is oil in your pipes as I cbf explaining what has already no doubt been said better than I would anyway....

this affect all piston type bov, and they have to be maintain, which lot of ppls don't. used a good degreaser first then spray wd40 on the brass piston and refit.

hey guys, thanks for the input... just put took it off, poured in a lil mobil1 synthetic i had left over from oil change...

gave the piston a few pushes and it started moving fine...

installed it back on and it works sweet.
