Stalling When Cold

Now that my stalling while driving problem has dissapeared. I start the car in the morning and while it is cold, it will stall, especially under load till it has warmed up for about 5 minutes. Why would the eninge stall and be hard to keep idle when cold?

because the T88 that you have on there has a seized bearing, and the NOS kit is stuck on full?

on topic. Mine kinda doesnt like to start when cold, I gotta give it a little fuel to start it, but then it just purrs like a kitten

check if your aux. air regulator is still functional, I've seen a few RBs with stuffed units... I was one of them, but my regulator was fully opened so my car always idled at 1500rpm..

bought another unit off some dude off this forum for $20, all good now.

Basically you appear to have what the manual describes as "Unstable idling ... Cold engine only"

So:

1. AAC valve

2. Engine temperature sender

3. Spark plugs

check if your aux. air regulator is still functional, I've seen a few RBs with stuffed units... I was one of them, but my regulator was fully opened so my car always idled at 1500rpm..

On a RB20DET, it's underneath the throttle body. On a RB25DET, it's on the underside of the inlet runners.

No it's not.

Sorry. my bad - was think of the cold start air valve. AAC is on the back of the plenum.

my vl did that until i got it dynoed!! chuck it on the dyno and see what pops up!!

the revs started going up and down today then it just stalled. would it be the cas?

my bet is on AFM. borrow a working one to find out !

done that, checking the plug and lead that goes into the afm now

The problem is the plug that plugs into the AFM. It moves around and i need a new plug
