they dont actually hold the spark plugs in place but the coilpacks slip over the top of them, and theres a spring inside of the coilpack that touches the top of the spark plug. oh and if ya cant be bothered changing the coilpacks your self paul does a good price splitfires including installation :P

im not quite sure if autoworx will change the sparks as that is a owner maintenance thing, but ask him anyway :D

He said they are covered by warranty but I think I might get these aftermarket ones anyway. He said he can do splitfires for $650 (not sure if that includes install) and about 2 weeks to get from japan.. told him I can get em here for $565 and linked the page :P

It's a shame I only have $398 in the bank untill next thursday lol

Hi Guys

First post w00t

Purchased my R33 through AW as well about a month ago. Got the same problem and Paul told me it will most likely be the coilpacks.

They are getting me some splitfires in and Paul said it is covered by warranty. I'm also getting my spark plugs done at the same time.

hey skyryan.. just an opinion.. when i first got my r33 last year.. it was misfiring and sorta acted like a fuel cut.. there's 1 possibility.. the air filter needs to be cleaned or replaced.. mine was totally clogged up and i just took it out and blew it clean and it stopped the problem.. just a suggestion.. won't cost u any money to just take out the filter and give it a clean and see if it helps...

Hope this info helps,

Cheers,

Bernard

I just got the car from Autoworx about 2 months ago, ya reckon coilpacks come under warranty?

If the car is under warranty it is defiantly covered. We can also claim on the extended 3 year warranty if you got that with the car which will pretty much equal the cost of the warranty right there.

We usually have sets of splitfire coils in stock but were just out at the moment as they are so good , new batch is on its way right now.

You can supply your own of coarse and we can swap them over.
