Pretty silly leaving the Victorian number plate on you can see the rego in one sceen. Looks a bit stupid in the back streets. Hope he dosen't get caught.

But yes it did look good on the roundabout.

^^^ and sadly powersliding is NOT drifting. It's like nearly every Yank Youtube video about 'drifting' - none of them clutch kick or handbrake - they are only powersliding.

Your a day layour a day late with that one ;)

?

I know it was an April Fools joke they did, I didn't know about that one till today, I still found it amusing so thought I would share for people that didn't know also.

this is great

first they convert a car turbo to work as a primitive jet engine

then they screw around with a Rolls Royce Derwent engine in the backyard of their garage...

Makes me want one. Just cause

-D

saw that awhile ago Ben....awesome!!

Here is the follow up video....apparently Karl passed away just over a year ago

This is an interesting reply to a question as to "why doesn't the truck move at full throttle/"

He could have 50 of those engines at full throttle on the truck and it will not move, UNTIL the brakes are released and then there is not stopping it! Ever seen the video of the 'strongman' holding back a whole jet with his teeth are something, if he gave the jet an inch he would be gone. Even when you are flying, the jet will full power the engines and those tiny tires hold it all back, until the brakes were released. if Carl released the brakes on the truck, no stopping it!

I will have one of these in a year or two.....shame it'll cost $40K to convert it to RHD.

662hp Mustang Shelby GT500 for under $100K

Won't beat the R35 around the "Ring" but will blitz it in acceleration....apparently the 2013 model will out accelerate the Bugatti Veryon.

Listen to the sound of the stock exhaust!! :woot:

    • Wow the colour matched hard top completely transforms the car. Are there any nice front lip options for the car or is that off the table?
    • Generally yes but for some reason I've been ruthless this time around!  I might even need to do another tip run after the way I've finally been able to hit the delete button on shit I've stepped over, stepped around and tripped over for the past 10 years!
    • I just quote the Rolling Stones. Paint it black.
    • It just depends if you're like me with a high level of OCD for doing something like hardlines, and highly critical of the little things, and then bugger all patience to get it how my brain pictures it
    • More than happy with the colour match Talking to the painter he recommended to give the top a few weeks for the paint to 100% cure prior to sealing it with the ceramic stuff Also, because why not..... I have a fancy pants Fluidampr harmonic balancer on order, the 2.5 engine uses the OEM 2.0 balancer off the old motor as the 2.5 balancer is a larger unit and doesn't fit clearance wise, which, because the two engines have different harmonics, isn't optimal, the OEM balancer does the job, but as the gear driven balancer in the bottom end is removed to fit a RWD application there is slightly more vibration, the Fluidampr helps with the harmonics that the gear driven balancer once took care of,  basically makes life easier on the oil pump and bearings when thrashing it around Hopefully the weather gets better soon because I'm keen for some cruising around, and currently, with the winds and storms we are getting, the amount of detritus being blown around from trees on the road isn't something I want to be driving around in
