see i aggree with what you say there...thats why i am wondering why peoples idle is at around 800 when it should be 650 according to the service manual... i am thinking 650 is too low.

if your idel is at 800 with AC off, what is it with AC on?

weird, my idle has always been at around 1200-1500 with no effect on fuel economy or performance. As soon as i reset it to 700 it started acting really roughly, the engine was shaking pretty violently and stalled twice when cold so i put it back to the previous setting and the car returned to normal...

these cars are *supposed* to have a cold start sensor that ups the revs to about where you say yours is idling at for cold starts...

Even if you lower the idle revs, it should still pick up when its cold...

if its not doing that, maybe someone upped the revs on purpose cause the cold start wasn't working...
