Bonnet Release Help

hey guys anyone know if there's an alternate way to open the bonnet if the bonnet release button has snapped inside?

like if u pull the button it doens't pop up the bonnet at all

and does anyone know where i might be able to go to get it fixed and roughly how much it is for a new one?

hey, i have the same problem - not sure if its broken, or just not connected..

if u ring nissan they should be able to help u out i know its different but a new boot lock is about $80

Ps. Try this first: Get someone to hold the bonnet down (lean weight on it) then pull the bonnet release, sometimes it gets caught and needs a 2-person approach

tried taht already but thanks n e way stritch=)

think the cable has either snapped or disconnected as was driving n then i heard a pop

n e one know wot the part is called?

the cable may have come off at the bonnet latch. If you look through your grill, using a flat head srew drive you may be able to open it by pushing on the part that the cable is/was connected too. (used this method on other cars just not a r34 so can not say if it will work 100%)

its called a Bonnet Release Cable. Any wrecker should have one :0
