i'll have a bash tonight and see how i go.

ABS off as well?

Yes ABS off too, absolutely no assists

Yeah, I'll take ya all on. I need more practice though, havent played it much.

We should have a SAU race in the full game on Live when it finally comes out.

Sounds like a great idea.

Ill post my exact times up in a few hours

i got like a minute flat in the ferrari no aids or driving line. that was on my final lap of the first race. then i got bored and did something else.

i'm keen for a race though when the game is out next month.

Well i'm already well into the real game, not the demo... but you get that!

Although i only spent the arvo on Sunday playing it.

Pretty good overall, some of the additional stuff is awesome, not just the racing itself. You'll see what i mean when you play it.

But there are some really annoying things that it requires, i hope they are features that open up later, otherwise endurance races are going to be absolute heartache to complete :D

How did u get the full game so early?

Ye pretty good.

As with most of them, you can customise the set-ups end to end.

Engine swaps are a good thing as well. But then you need to spend ages getting the car setup right due to the big change in weight/power etc :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Ive got the full version and am up to level 35 after about 40 hours play time. Damn its going to take some time to complete this game.

Yeah its one awesome game.....

Love to get the steering wheel.

Love to have 4 xboxes and 4 tv's and connect them all together to play the side views all at the same time

Negatives:

+ Game is too easy (even on hard AI)

+ Not many tracks (and lost of old ones from the first version)

+ Can not stop playing it.

    • Not much. It's barely more than an hour's labour. So that-ish plus a boot, clamp strap, some grease.   But, being an R32 GTR, when it is up in the air and the driveshaft is out, about $9k worth of other problems will become visible.
    • Yes, as above. The welding is an easy enough job. Proper reupholstering, perhaps less so. These, and pretty much all seats of the same era (and probably still) rely on molded foam parts to make the shapes. That foam is the yellow detritus visible in the photos. And it is difficult to replicate. I didn't want the pain, so went aftermarket seats instead. But for "saving a classic".... it's probably worth the kidney and left nut that a trimmer will want to redo them.
    • Way too accurate.... source: got flogged by an unsuspecting i30N last night... Super tidy looking 32 though, hopefully you find the time and funds to get it back on the road and enjoy it again!
    • Source: This thread, and the thread this thread spawned from. Alternative take: Is heat actually an issue for the use case of this vehicle? I wonder if it actually would be. Nekminit
    • Considering the price of GTR stuff now the answer is yes. That's a straight forward TIG or even MIG job. I'd put extra tubing inside, for extra strength and weld it up. Then use the spare seat as an example to get the bolster rails in the correct position and the re-apolster. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for the pair as they are?
