Wiring Up A Jl Duel Voice Coil Sub

running a jl duel voice coil sub off a pioneer mono block amp how should i wire it up? its a duel 2ohm sub had ap roblem last time and it screwed up my kicker amp

What model is your pioneer mono amp?

it depends on the power of the amp. if it will supply enough power for the sub at 4 ohm then that is best as it will give you the best sound quality. if the amp isn't quite up to it at 4 ohm and is capable of running at 1 ohm then run it that way.

If ohms means increased resistance then why would you want it to be higher?

Wouldn't that mean less power?

How does it mean better sound quality?

I'm still learning car audio so I'm curious...
