Unwired Plugs/lines In Engine Bay

Hey guys,

Have known for a while but not thought much of it, theres a few plugs/lines/hoses in my engine bay that are bolted off or missing tubes, and a plug is missing the wiring. I thought perhaps the bolted off tube above the crossover pipe might be where someone has had a boost controller previously or something and there are other pipes which i asume could be the inlet for the tube. And i assume the plug coming out of the fuse box is a test plug or something.

If anyone knows what these are, and why they might be removed/blocked off i'd appreciate it

well i know in pic 4 u are missing the wiring to your throttle position sensor

All the vacuum lines are for your charcoal canister. The TPS has 2 wire connections, the part that has no wires going to it are for an auto.

The plug near the crossover pipe? In my missus' manual 32 it has wires going into it :S

Edit: and also, forgive my stupidity, what is a charcoal canistor and why isnt mine hooked up?

Pollution equipment, stores fuel vapours from the fuel tank until the conditions are right then sucks them into the inlet manifold. Dont know why its not hooked up.
