Pauly33GTS-t
I have an RB25DET, mods as listed below: Full turbo back exaust 3inch - 3.25inch cat back with magnaflow cat (650cfm) Walbro fuel pump (yet to do voltage mod). Garrett GT30R Hybrid turbo kit, in a hiflowed rb25 turbo housing (toit like a toiger). FMIC, turbo 2 afm metal pipe, POD, CAI (not enclosed). Stock injectors, stock afm... Is an SAFC Suitable for tuning my car at this point for me to reach a good safe solid 200-205kw? I'm also looking to regain a bit of economy, as atm im only getting around 260-280km per tank. on 98ron bp ultimate, never used any other fuel or will ever use any other. Please tell me if an SAFC will be suitable for this. I know I am limited by the AFM and injectors but i want to get the MOST out of the stock stuff for when I get better stuff or a suitable engine management system becomes available to me. Thanks, Paul. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/170537-safc-suitable/ Share on other sites

Birnie
260 a tank, so you're losing about $20-$30/tank Buy the ECU you have on the list and think of the money you're saving on fuel as paying it off. Stuff the SAFC, it may do what you want but don't bother. Looking at your list : RacingHart Type CR 18' Wheels - CAN WAIT Sydneykid Handling Kit - CAN WAIT Bigger Injectors - CAN WAIT Z32 AFM - CAN WAIT EMU Unit (Haltech or Apexi) **** Do It Now ****** Subtle Body Kit - CAN WAIT Respray in "Midnight Blue III" - CAN WAIT Rebuild with go faster bits - CAN WAIT Hello 450kms or more per tank and shit loads of power Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/170537-safc-suitable/#findComment-3149353 Share on other sites
BAMR33
Yep, safc should be fine for your current target as your going to be restricted by your afm and injectors anyway. At least you'll know your engine is running the right afr's rather than um'ing and arr'ing to weather the stock ecu will cope. The safc won't require that much of tune either as you'll probably only need 12psi to push the 200rwkW mark. Pauly33GTS-t
but then again, thre will always be someone in the market for a second hand safc... remember this. they still sell. its like a good entry point, no doubt that u guys might of had one to play around with before u went with the EMU's.
