I use anything that is 98 that has a 4c voucher lol mostly caltex, then coles, if i have no voucher or if i need fuel asap i just get whatever is not heaps crowded (i wont hang out a driveway blocking traffic just to get 2c saving) or is closer. i dont think that having any of these fuels is better or worse, i think having a different/old oil/filter or dirty air filter etc would be more detremental or beneficial than fuels. i haven't tried the V Power Racing though, havent seen it in Newcastle before, only the other one at Shell.

Good thread but got everyone talking haha

Peace :(

Ultimate, V-Power and synergy 8000 are the only petrols I use. I am pretty sure synergy 8000 is the one i get the most k's and performance from but who knows, they are all good. But V-power racing contains ethanol I am almost sure so I did not want to use/try it. Plus it costs the earth!

Highest octane I have ever seen at a pump in the US is 94. I use 93 octane Mobile. I've tried a couple other brands, but Mobile stations are all over the place here and my car seems to run well on it.

i use ultimate because i am in qld, so it is actually ultimate. and i had a mate do an octane rating test on some and it was about 98.3 ron (where he worked a rep for a fuel additive company had an octane rating tester). he also discovered that adding 2 bottles of nulon pro strength octane booster will lower your octane, but adding the correct amount will raise it.

i don't use shell where i live because they had problems with their tanks rusting and it gummed up a heap of fuel.
