Yes i have searched.

No i will not take it to an auto elec /mechanic

Is there a better way of diagnosing faulty coil packs other than trial and error of replacing each one with a good one, one by one?

How do you diagnose a faulty ignitor?

What if two or more coil packs have failed?

If cylinders 4 and 5 are suspiciously clean, and all other plugs are fouled up (fuel) could the 4th and 5th injectors be blocked? could it be the loom?

Well we do. But as you listed in your first post, your not interested in going down the path of checking them.

So kinda a catch 22

does that mean i have to replace each one with a known working one? What if said known working one fails? (This happened on an ef in work)

i had a problem with a serious misfire on my old motor. New motor has similar sound.

So i have two sets of coils, and am not confident that any are good. How do i test them?

What if half arent working? if two or more arent working, then replacing with a known good one may not make a noticable difference
