Advice Please..... Vg30de Straight Swap With Vg30dett ?

Hi all,

Im after a little advice from someone who might know abit more about 300zx's and engine swaps than me. Ive had to change cars due to work, i've now got a 93' Nissan Navara. Its stock with VG30DE engine, and obviously the same as the Z32 300ZX except non turbo. I want to give it some more power and looking to upgrade engine. I am wondering if anyone knows whether I could straight swap my VG30DE for a VG30DETT from a Z32?

Is it possible to straight swap?

What other adjustments would have to be made to make the engine swap work?

Basically im just asking bout the engine swap as i know i am going to have to upgrade other parts like clutch, diff etc.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Nissan put a VG30 in a Navara? Wow, that's the first I've heard of it. I know they had a variation of the VG30 in the maxima's. They were DOHC as opposed to quad cam in the 300zx I believe.

Could probably try the 300zx forums for info on this.
