Howdy,

Well it looks like I've made another newbie error and bought some wheels that probably won't fit my guards (fronts maybe just, but definitely not the rears).

front 18x 9 offset 35

rear 18x 10 offset 35

(oops, had these listed as 19s, don't ask me why they're 18s)

SO anyway, i do like these wheels and i'd like to run with them, so what's the easiest/cheapest way to accommodate them?

I've heard lip rolling/flaring can crack paint? Anyone know if this is true?

Also anyone know a good place to have this done if i need to on the gold coast?

i got 10's and u will have to roll the guards....if not u will tear ur tyres to shreads, mine still do even when rolled....also negative camber will help fix it....but con is that you will have uneven wear and tyre will wear quicker...

yup its true - major guard rolling and flaring will crack paint, so expect to fork out more cash to respray the area.

in terms of cheapest way to accomodate these wheels.. get out your chainsaw and hack at your guards. :D

in terms of easiest way to accomodate your wheels, major guard rolling with lots of negative camber.

deriq.

f*ck it. i had them written up as 19s when they're 18s (i was tired at the time i originally wrote it) don't suppose that will make any difference....?

otherwise, anyone wanna by some Volk Winning 18s...? :D

Sorry to Hijack thread, is there a way to "un-roll" guards back to their original state?

Mine were rolled by a back yarder before I bought the car, and look very sharp and bumpy. I'd like to restore them, even if it means respraying too.

i also found these dudes that make bolt on guards.....http://www.perthcars.com/bodykits.htm

might consider these as i would like 10's on the back anyway, even if the wheels i bought aren't really for me.
