Nismodified
just been to a recent dyno day, and the difference b/w power at the wheels for 2wd and 4wd is more similar then u expect. Ethan_R32
robertr: im not 100% sure what kind they are, vspecv will know more than me, because he organised mine to be fitted and tuned. But as far as I know they are modified gears done at Racepace in melbourne. EVL R33
Hey Guys, I had stock turbos with full exhaust, PFC (with boost kit), k&n panel replacement and stock I/C and got 210hp at all 4 on 1.05bar. I then put a set of 2530's on and power went up to 280 at all 4 on same boost. Last week we fitted a HKS Type R I/C and power went up over 40hp from under 3000rpm to redline with slight increase in boost (1.1) to peak at 320hp. I also believed that the standard cores were good for over 450hp but me experience tells me otherwise... These figures are on a Dyno Dynamics 4wd dyno done in 4wd. usuckpoo
Given the discrepencies between various dynos and the number of variables that are subject to change (i.e, Dyno load, Rwd/4wd, Wheel size, gearing, different dynos etc) wouldnt it be more accurate to compare the dyno readings of your "modified" car to the output of a baseline standard car? Thats prob the only way to guage how much more you're actually making, rather than comparing with someone esle on the other side of the country using a different dyno.
