Jamex Panel Filter

Hi guys,

Anybody using the Jamex panel filter as purchased from this site. I wacked it in last night and all day my car has been idling at 1000RPM?

Is this normal?

Car drives fine... just wondering why it is now idling at 1000rpm.

Hi CR34TION, the reduction in airflow restriction causes the idle to temporarily increase. The ECU should "learn" this over the next couple of days and compensate. You could try an ECU reset, that may speed up the process.

It's kinda good news, at it shows the airfilter did something good.

Ok thought my car was going crazy.. but it is strange as the i used to change b/n cold air induction and standard air box on my integra often and saw no change in idle.

Hi CR34TION, Honda uses MAP sensor, Skyline uses AFM. The AFM is much more sensative to airlow changes. That's why they contribute to a nicer runnng Skyline after mods are done.
