Do Rb26s Have Hks Turbo's Standard

i just pulled off my air intake of my rb26 out of my r32 gtr and found 2 hks turbos and i am wounding if they are standard or if someone has put them on at some stage???

How do i tell what model of HKS's they are?

No deffinately not standard.

You tell by the ID plate on the turbos.

The numbers will indicate what you have.

Most likely 2530s being the most common GTR HKS turbo

they say "084 hks" on them the 084 is small with the HKS quiet large...

Thats the front housing

You need the ID plate.

Its inbetween the front and rear housings, near where the oil/water lines go in and out of the centre of the turbo

They are still on the car and i cant seem to see any other numbers or plates.

Full boost comes on at around 6grand in second.

Yeah i thought she was a little laggy, never been in anyother GTR's though so i have nothing to compare it to.

Used to my 66 mustang with a V8 in it with a smooth power band not something that spicks up at 6000ish rpm.

When should the stock turbos kick in? What rpm range?

my 2860-5 start boosting about 3k

sounds to me like you either have very large turbos on the car.. or you need to get it tuned desperately... Hell its probably both.
