Rb25 Safe Rev Limit

I'm looking for the thread on RB25 standard bottom end max rev limit.

I know that it is in here somewhere, i just cant find it..!

not too far over 7000, maybe 7500

i think the head is the limiting factor here, even if you rebuild it tough.

We already know Nissan's answer to your question. I'd say that's a safe bet.

id say around 7k shud be safe, not exceeding 7500.

the hydraulic lifters dont like too many revs... to me thats the biggest factor.

W'ell soon find out, I am in the prcess of converting a 25 head to solid valvetrain and i am going to rev it a fair bit harder than 7500.

Yeah, but thats no longer standard, so pointless for this thread.

7000-7300 on a stock bottom end.

I wouldnt go any further with the stock rod bolts etc.

i have had 260rwkw and been reving to 7500 for over a year. have now upgraded to a 700hp turbo and rev to 8000. still no problems (had this setup for 3 months)..

Hmm, I've had mine set on 7500 for a year now. of which, I have done 6 skid pan days.

Most of which is fairly high in the rev range.

I don't drive it high in the revs on the street, except for the odd squirt.

I was just wondering... I wasn't sure about 2 things,

1. valve spings and lifters

2. rod and rod bolt strength.

I havn't spent money on the bottom end because i'm planning to put a hybrid in it.

thats going to take a back seat for a while cos i just bought a house.

But the RB30 is still sitting in my shed!

BTW, I have 2 spare blocks that I have to get rid of now.. Both NA, both series 2. both std bore! ohh, and they have to go within the next 2 weeks! $100 for the pair!
