it looks a little too .."butch" for my liking..Dont get me wrong, its a beast especially the bloody calipers! 8 pot on the front 6 on the rear!!?? ever been for a trip through the windscreen one day when you forgot to put the buckle in and came across a stray kitten?

its like the soft lines from the tip of the headlight dont blend with the hard edges of the pumped guards.. You can see it in a 3Q front shot..

im surprised the constabulary let you get away with that shit in britain! In oz mate, youd be defected for life!

Thanks Guys... I will be getting those pictures in hi res later, still waiting for it from my friend... I need a new wallpaper also.

I'll post it up when I get it.

I actually know what you are talking about. I kind of thought that myself also. However, it is the only way of realistically "extending" the flare so it comes down straight... So it is a case where you have to give up a clean design in order to make it look more "Butch" ;)

Thanks for the comment though... And so far the police have left me alone, so that isn't too bad. :D

Oh, and always buckle up... at least in my car anyways. :(

I know this is digging, but dude!.

Holy muddaf*kka.

That is one shweet ride. got boost?

bahaha i think i am speechless.

umm yeah...awesome, insane, whats your number i am seeing this thing next time i am in the UK.

the front almost looks R33.

The Front Bar is a TBO Front Bar from Japan. But you are going to have a hard time finding it because the company no longer exist... There are still some copies around, but it isn't easy to find. It is not like you can just call up Top-Secret and ask for a G-Force Front Bar if you know what I mean.

There's a couple of shops in australia that sell TBO copies... not ones that line up to Garage Yanack fenders tho :P

That car looks awesome... not a fan of the Yanack Kit though...

we had one come down a while back, n just disn't like the square lines on it.

Hello Guys, thanks for the comment. Sorry for not checking for quite a while.

Several things had happened since I last check in.

The car has been featured in Banzai Magazine this Month (OCT 07)

The car also have when down to the drag strip and see what is what.

The Result:

11.61 @ 123MPH (Don't have the Video for it)

Video: 11.9 Run with 1.89 60ft. Turn your speakers ON!

So Overall, I am happy with it.

lol nice personally i dont think there that hard to launch but i dont know if that changes the more the KW's increase

They are not hard to launch actually if you ask me. It is hard to launch good if you wan a sup 1.8 60ft, especially with a big turbo and a narrow powerband...

Once that is done the rest is pretty straight forward. But to get a 2.0 to 2.2 60ft isnt that hard at all...but I don't know if that is consider as "good" launch in drag time. This is my frist time down the strip in the car afterall. I was just hoping for sub 12 seconds run.

Oh yea, the Rear Bar is Do-Luck by the way. ;)

ah well its a very good effort i havnt yet had the chance to take mine down the drags

i have a shot on the tube of doing a night time launch first 20 secs is a mates GTR

i would be happy with low 13's my even be high i have no idea what a pregnant pasty should run

oh the sound gets out of sync too :)

Eh? I thought this car had 650whp. I expected faster times and MPH? :(

Actually, UK seems to quote Engine Power. :)

It should make about 600bhp at the hub on a DynaPack...

Overall, the setup on this car isn't "modern" if you know what I mean.

Short Stroke Engine (RB26) on a big single, low rev limit (7600rpm) and long gear ratio isn't a good combo for a good drag car. Being full weight with things in the boot doesn't help either. And I am runing on hard springs (10kg/7kg), so even with the damper fully made soft, the car still dosn't squad... :laughing-smiley-014:

I might be looking into a GT40R in the NEAR Future...and maybe 10's sec. :)

Again, thanks for the comment guys....

10kg/7kg is relatively soft but i got no idea :)

my springs are 12kg/10kg 32step dampers

still looks nice i think you revved to high also and it bogged down just a little before springing into action

im thinking 5,000rpm 5,500 maybe :( have you tried different revs,

one thing ive noticed in my car is if you try to hard you stuff it up

Agreed....

If you try too hard you really do stuff it up.... My best run came from just letting the clutch off very slowly... Before I was trying to pre-load the suspension and all the other good things I read on the net...

if you just drop you clutch slowly and slip it through first, you won't shock load the transmission either...

As for how people get 1.5-1.6 60ft... I am all ears... :)

Oh, REV was 7K and just let it slip...

yeah i always slip the clutch but i dont launch no where near as often as i used to when i first got the car due to having a front diff blow costing $$$$

but what ive found with my car is it seems to know when im going to launch and it slips really well

i only have a single plate clutch a Xtreme HD 9puk 850kg pressure plate

and with the car being a GTS4 it doesnt have the same gearbox as GTR so the gears are shorter

"only thing was the sky decide to rain, then shine, then rain, then shine again" thought that would be a normal UK day ;)

man that looks crazy as, very nice work. :D

only thing id think bout changing, maybe paint those cam gears and move the petrol lid so it lines up with the wide body.

My Friend Tom Higgins have made some wallpaper size photos for me.

I am amaze what photoshop can do. Tom is not a professional photographer, but he is great at photoshop.

He is trying to be a free-lancer; but like everything, he is still learning.

If anyone here is a pro photoshop artist and got any pointer, please feel free to let us know. :(

Okay, On with the show. (Click on the picture to get full wallpaper size jpg)

    • Uncle Duncan Yeap, FI Interchiller  Works well, normal IAT's cruising with the WTA only went from 50°c+ to 25-30°c with the interchiller  Before, when on it hard, the IAT would see 80-90°c, now, the highest has been was around 38°c IIRC IAT is measured under the blower hat I recommend it for the street or strip where your only on it hard for 10 or so seconds, but it wouldn't be efficient for sustained track use as it would heat soak from the AC turning off or whatever it does during WOT to protect the compressor It really needs the AC running for it to not heat soak and keep the WTA coolant chilled My WTA coolant temps when just cruising is around 2°c
    • Hey Mark...sorry to interrupt your career change to hair dressing... but...did you ever fit the interchiller to the commodore, and if so how was it? And, who made it?
    • I've been pondering this, I really enjoy the convertible thing, for me, it's like riding a motorbike, without all the issue of riding a motorbike, mainly, my old sore arthritic joints getting beaten up, and, being able to do it in shorts and a T-shirt and not needing a helmet and all the other gear required, especially like wearing jackets and pants in the summer, or needing 6 layers of cloths in the winter, or not having wet weather gear handy when your 100km away from home on the bike when it decides to start raining As for the hard top and its Coupe look, whilst I do lose all that open top feeling that I really enjoy, from my experience with the NB with a detachable hard top, the cabin is a much nicer place to be, the difference in noise for one, a hard top quietens down the interior, alot, with the soft top up or down it's pretty noisy, which, after 5 or so hours, can get tiring But, as you stated, the detachable hard top totally changes the look of the car, in a really good way, and for me, the look of a detachable hard top is so much better than the PRHT which looks more like a after thought with its weird bulbous rear roof line For me, the minimal effort of putting in on, or storing it after removing it, is well worth the time and effort for the look alone And yes, I'm sure the next owner will be grateful for it as well.......
    • I get into huffs with people when I suggest the MX5 looks so much better as a coupe than it does as convertible. Pretty sure I don't prefer the convertible version of anything. Good job on the hardtop! The next buyer will appreciate.
    • IMO wrap does have its uses, but like you said, quality wrap, and professional installation, would probably cost want a quality paint job does, but, the paint, if maintained, is basically for life, and much easier to touch up if required  In other news: it's pissing down here, with thunder, lightning and only some small hail "at this stage", luckily all "my" cars are undercover  I've also been contacted by a guy in Newcastle about the SS, he said he will come down next weekend for a look, we'll see how that transpires I guess 🫰
