misfire

Well on the way home tonight I turned up the boost to 12.5psi and gave the car a bit of stick only to get a nasty lot of misfire... so after we fixed this problem, only about 3-4 wweeks ago, with a new set of platinum spark plugs (read about $100) the car's having issues again. Could my coil packs be fubar as well? I think its time to bite the bullet and get a new ecu into the car and get rid of the crap AF ratio. Anyone else think of anything else that could cause the misfire?

rob: do a search on the forums, theres hundreds of other people with the same problem. and as you will read its always the plugs

change em, regap em whatever you need to do and that will no doubt solve the problem.

I know its the plugs, I'm just pissed that its only 3-4 weeks after we changed and regapped them to 0.8mm. Just wondering if it could be anything else, like a ****ed coilpack.

thats why most people stick with coppers, theyre cheaper and if they foul quickly its only $20 down the drain....

theyre also easier to play around with when trying to find the right heat range/ plug gap for your car

Rob, my platinums are gapped to 0.69mm, haven't had any problems since.
