Okay cool, coz i just fitted it then, the three bolts on the bottom line up but the two bolts on the top dont.. does this matter? lol

In the pic attached, the green circles line up, the red dont.

I' beleive the plenum is designed for various rails. The three on the bottom is all you'll need :)

The other mounts on the std rail are to support something else, can't remember what it is though, but you don't use them. Just use the other mounts on the rail to cable tie your injector wiring too.

Just finished mounting everything, injectors seem like they are on fine, fuel lines are hooked up, now i just have to move the entire fuse box so i can mount the throttle body :) the joys of transplanting engines into cars where there not ment to be :D

Yeh i know its hell messy, ill tidy it up when the b!tch starts!

Everything is hooked up on the underside except for one pipe from the AAC valve, if i remember correctly it used to go to the inlet (before the throttle body) on the old inlet pipe (my guess is to bypass the t/b when its closed).

Am i correct?

EDIT: one goes under the plenum, other one plumbs into the crossover pipe before the bov and throttle body, the one that gets in the way when doing sparkies and is part of the reason i'm doing this mod. do you need to know which is witch or your right? its fkn cold out there

me too. they are mechanics after all, not super heroes. anything they can do i can do. its just a matter of how long it takes and how many mistakes are made lol.

should go to the cooler piping matey, thats why my piping kit has so many holes

EDIT: anyone else sick of jap instructions? if all we can use is the pictures, they should have made them pop up books that would be better

i am lucky enough to work off a r33 engine manual, as in the actual book... it makes a lot of things easier, and you can read it over and over on the train so you know exactly what your in for. i can see this job step by step in my head, ive gone through it so many times. im just lazy when i get home lol

Yeah i printed out the whole workshop manual, thank god for duplexing photocopiers :)

I started this conversion on Thursday and the girl is b!tching at me to spend time with her, otherwise i would have had it done by now! but you gotta keep the pu$$y happy.

Good thing for your engine being in a skyline is that it will be pretty straight forward, if you look at the top pic my fuse box is situated is right where the T/B has to be.... yay!

Other than hooking up the T/B, plumbing some PVC pipe (till i get my mate to make up some custom pipes), hooking up the vacume lines and possibly having to extend some cables (for the AAC valve)... im pretty much done :)

Yeah Skylines are nice but ive always liked S13's....

For the smaller engine bay size i got a few hundred kilos off on a skyline with the same power output :)

Its a bit of a change from working on my 1971 dodge dart, you can sit in that engine bay and work..... After this is done im looking at upgrading my turbo (another fitting nightmare)!

you just gained the weight you lost by putting the rb lol. still, i like silvias too. ALMOST anything with a nissan badge from the 90's is fine by me.

i find ford 6's are the best modern engine to work on, everything is simple and set up correctly, ie spark plug easy access, etc all the little things. it takes too long to pull plugs on a stock rb

i was wondering what you guys are using for the liquid gasket, and whats good for sealing the threads on the temp sensor etc. all i have is loctite, and teflon tape lol point me in the right direction
