As above, wondering how to disconnect the alarm before disconnect the battatry, and where is the negative on the battary?

There are two lines, which side is negative, left or right?

I have changed AFM, BOSCH fuel pump and O2 sensor, but still 300Km one tank, is it any possible with the spark plug or some other parts faulty? Thanks

the negetative is red colour.

may be when you install the alarm, you must have the key for back up battery. you disconnect the back up battery then your alarm is dead.

this is as far as i know..

the very easy but time consuming way you can do...

when you left your car at night turn the head lights on. then your battery will run out during the night. and do jump start next day with other car. that will reset your ECU. i was going to reset my ECU but i accidently left the car with lights on... and 3hours later my car dead. alarm did not working.. so i did jump start and realise that my ECU reseted....

anyway... there are many threads about reseting ECU.

im sure everyone will say "search!"

you better take your time and learn about your car before you ask something... i did ask without research and what i had for answer was "research" most of time.....

The negative is not necessarily red. It is usually a single large cable; if you follow it, you should find the other end connected directly to the chassis.

But it really doesn't matter which terminal you disconnect.

As for the alarm, there should be a key to turn off the siren.

No. There should be a separate key that fits a "lock" in the back of the siren.

ricsvtr - when you disconnect the battery, the alarm goes onto its backup battery and sets off the siren. I guess it's a means of preventing thieves from simply disconnecting the battery to stop the alarm working.

what's the key looks like?

And where do I find the lock? Is it under the dashboard or at the back with the battery?

but did you install aftermarket alarm?

i think aftermarket alarm has backup battery. and the installer must give you a set of key to you when he/she installed on your car.

it look small round key. (its only for mongus) and the back up battery should located anywhere under the bonnet but mines is opposite side to where the battery is located. (also for R34 GTT i think R33's battery is located on the back)

you must disconnect the back up battery before disconnect the battery otherwise you will be going deaf....

anyway if you installed aftermarket alarm and dont have the key you better contact the guy who installed your alarm..

Yeah I know that the alarm goes on backup battery when you disconnect the main battery thats why you disarm the alarm/immobiliser first. If you disarm it first it wont set the alarm off when you disconnect the main battery. Well thats how my alarm (Autowatch) works anyway

disconnect the battery terminal from the battery in the boot... Just take off the negative, pump brake pedal few times and have the healights on etc... then connect battery back up and your on your way.

your aftermarket alarm is likely to have an earth tab somewhere underneith your bonnet which will allow you to completely bypass the alarm and immobilizer. So you wont need the key for the lock on the back of the siren.

you just gotta know where it is/find it.

Thanks dude, just reset the ECU and changed the NGK spark plug, could not find any different, hope is more fuel economy.

Who can tell me, how much petrol left when the fuel needle at the bottom line, cause I only filled 47L the tank is full, that mean's still has 18L left in the tank, is that right?
