Cefiro's are still in production and are still named exactly that. Models after the A31 (A32 and current model A33) were sold to Australia with a "Maxima" badge but the same car was still sold in Japan with the Cefiro badge. Spec levels were different, but basically the same car. The A31 Cefiro is the last of the rear-wheel-drive Cefiros.

A31 Is the 1988 - 1991 model, which is rear wheel drive. There are also some later varients (1990-1991) which are all wheel drive ATTESSA. All were auto, bar a few later models which were sold as 5sp manuals. Factory manuals are very rare, so if you want a Manual one you're gonna have to find one which has been converted. An easy conversion for it to change to manual is to whack a SR20DET in there, with S13 manual box, however you cannot import SR20DET converted ones to Australia as far as i know. To convert to manual they usually use the R32 GTSt gearbox.

A32 Is the first model Australia saw. It is front wheel drive and very different from the A31 models.

A33 is the current model sold here in Australia. It is still sold in Japan as Cefiro also.

Prices on Cefiro's vary alot. Expect 12k for one landed and registered on the road, give or take alot. It really varies greatly.

Regards,

Ryan
