i am selling the wrx and most likely will be thinking of getting a skyline. i like to do some research in the prior months to getting a new car though.

what i want basically.

good paint preferred with a kit.

racing looks, no bling.

low km or replaced engine.

i would like a gtr but from what ive read the insurance for under 25's is around $2500 plus????

so i have no problems with a modified gtst.

i prefer the 32's but would consider a 33 if it was perfect.

will spend around 17k but most likely no more.

inform me, can i get a good 32 with a rb26 imnplanted for a decent price of under 15k?

if not what kind of power could i expect out of the gtst 32 engine?

is importing the way to go? especially if you have a family friend owning a import company?

i only ask because i recently drove a friends 34 4 door with a power fc on 12psi i believe and to be honest i was not impressed with the power, in relation to my wrx ( fairly stock, injectors, tbexhaust, custom airbox, 16psi).

thanks in advance! feel free to point me to some cars for sale on various forums etc aslo...

the rb20det in the 32gts-t really lacks torque. and off the line compared to ur wrx its gona feel hell slow.

a 32 with an rb25 is the way to go, but if u havnt done it urself u never know if the previous owner has done a shitty instal job. plus more things will prolly go wrong with the car since its got a complety diff engine in it! so more $$$ fixin lil' shit things

a lightly modified 32gts-t is fun to drive and will still feel fast...but like i said, compared to a wrx off the line...ur gona be disapointed. ive found my 32 to be quiker top end than a wrx tho...

if i was u, id buy a lightly modded 32 for 11-12k...then add some good power mods to put u in ur seat...

Put simply, NO. That is not a common conversion and if someone has done it there would have been a lot of cash spent, they are expensive engines if in good condition!

An r32 gts-t can still be modded to get good power. 160rwkw is relatively easy with ecu, exhaust and some boost.

If thats not enough then the next step up without spending a whole lot would be bolting on an r33 turbo (get it highflowed) boost it and get a front mount to go with it, and maybe GTR injectors or aftermarket ones, and an aftermarket fuel pump. You would have some decent performance out of that

for a lightly modded skyline what would i expect for 12k. tbe, bigger turbo? maybe piggyback ecu? i have been looking around on the net but from reading wrx forums for the past 2 years i have learnt alot and could tell you anything but i need to get in the know with the nissans.

what in terms of overall performance and handling would be the better of the two. like i said i like the look of 32's better but in the end i want a total driving package not just looks.

thanks!

i pikd up my 32 for $12.700 a year ago...it had a remapped ecu, bleed valve, boost guage, nismo exhaust from cat bak and apexi suspension. imaculate paint and interior, 108,000ks...type M kit and GTR front bar.

EDIT: as for suspension...i have adjustable apexi shoks and springs, adjustable caster rods and a gtr strut brace, and it has great handling. chuk in a set of Tein coilovers/sturt brace and ull be all good
