As far as I know:

The under-bonnet plate says the same thing for v.spec and v.spec ii, model number

is KBNR32RBFSAA which is different to a stock R32 GTR.

There's no difference between the v.spec and v.spec ii apart from stock tyre sizes and year of build

(v.spec = 93, v.spec ii = 94). They both had Brembos and the 17" BBS rims.

Check the brake booster hose for a date stamp because you won't have the original tyres

on it if complied for Australia. Should have a 94 build date.

The last 6 digits of the VIN should also be fairly high.

There are far fewer v.spec and v.spec ii R32s than 'normal' R32 GTRs; which

is why a standard v.spec or v.spec ii is a bit of a collector's item.

Saliya

in regards to resale.......... will a vspec2 go for more than say a normal 94 model, seeing nothing will be standard on the car anyway, ill be changing the brakes to 6pot n 4 pot so the brembos arent an issue seeing thats all thats different.........

hmm f*k!!!!!!!!!

in reply to resale, i truly think a standard/neat/good v spec 2 will fetch more money than you transfering parts to it.

there isnt really much point in doing this to a vspec when you already have a 32. your going to change most of the things that make a vspec anyway!so there for is it really going to be worth it!

hope that heps you decide

If you want to repaint and also change the runnin gear, why not just buy an earlier model GTR that start from around 500,000 yen. There is little difference between an '89 and a '94, especially with what you want to do with it. Otherwise, just sae yourself the hassle and buy one already here as the 1.1 mil yen r32 will end up costing 20K on road here.

novak, there are "regular" 94 models. not all 94s were Vspec.

If you really must have a late model the look at a 93 or 94 non-vspec. for what you want to do to it paying extra for the vspec would be a waste of money. the vspec is not that special anyway.

but I would forget about the year all together and just look for a very nice, clean stock or close to stock GTR. the year doesn't matter. I've seen some thrashed, shagged out 93 models and I've seen some absolutely mint 89 and 90 models. buy the car on condition, not on year model.

My old R32 V-Spec 2 sold for small premium, if it were a road car and not modified for tarmac rallies (rally rego) it could have sold many times over for a much greater figure... mine was in very good condition though.

Australian delivered GTR are the pricey ones.
