FMIC + Apexi air filter = HKS SSQ BOV?

Hi guys.

I just got my FMIC installed didnt notice too much power increase. I have no aftermarket BOV and now the car makes the sound like the HKS SSQ sound. I guess its from the airfilter. but I never had that sound before. any of you guys get the same sound? thats the only thing I am happy about my FMIC so far.

yeh i have the apexi air filter with a front mount the fluttering noise right on low revs and the air suction

i got a hks air filter and it making big BOV sound even with stock cooler

u should notice a big increase in power with the fmic! I got near 30rwkw increase!

that sound is just the air rushing out the filter when u come off the throttle.

i didnt get that much an increase with my FMIC, once tuned though, thats when i got the 30kw increase.

The extra reversion (fluttering sound you refer to) your getting is due to the extra air in your intake system due to the FMIC and piping. You should not get this sound when backing off from full boost, if you do you need a better BOV, or loosen its spring. - i dont know the deal with the factory ones...

my car got unichip tuned. i think thats the reason that I didnt notice too much difference.

before I got 3"inch dump pipe and FMIC installed. I raced with Supra TT with full 3'inch exhaust.

Supra TT got 1 car length infront of me in the end of 3rd gear.

after I fit dump pipe and FMIC.

its dead even now.

he didnt go pass me at even 4th gear.
