Turbo Timer Newbie Question

I know this will be a newbie question...Im sorry...

When turbo timer is active you cant leave the gear on 1st as it will jerk and stall like normal when engine is running.

So how does other people park their car and leave when engine is still on? do they park the car on neutral and just handbrake?

Im just so used to parking the car on 1st gear, its a good backup if your e-brake is not good/failed

then wait with your car until the timer turns off then put it into gear and leave the car, as its illegal to leave your car unattended whilst the engine is runnning

nah I parked in first gear, putting a brick on my accelerator and a steering lock... that way my car goes in circles until it eventually stops
