Hey guys, not sure where to put this sorta topic. But here it goes..

I've noticed recently a "grinding" noise from my engine bay, when accelerating from around 1500, and fading away at 2000 rpm.

It's not a BAD grinding noise.. its not like going from 5th gear down to reverse :D , but a gradual rattling/scraping sound getting softer then dissapearing as the RPM's pick up.

Would anyone have an idea of what it could be? And what I could do to remedy this? Or is it something that I can live with?

Cheers guys!

Got a similar thing, car makes this weird 'rough' sound which sounds a little bit rougher then normal idle but it disappears when you depress the clutch. Looks like more excuses not to buy an exhaust! :P

Hi,

that 'particular' noise could be (and most probably is) your thruster bearing, located in your gearbox.

It's a $5.00 part that requires approx $500 in labour....that sux!!

Bye....
