Hi All!

i am sad to say this but i have to sell my Skyline...

This is a very sad day indeed but i can not justify having my beloved baby sitting in my driveway for the last 6 months all covered up (i now have a company car) and a mortgage.

I want it to go to a good home and use the money to buy my wife something more decent than a beat up commodore VN.

The car was imported into Aust in 2001 with 22,000km on it and i am (still) the first registered owner here.

about the car:

M Spec

1996/97 white S2

Manual 5 sp. Turbo

125,000 original Kms (oil change religiously @5000kms with shell's full synthetic or motul oil).

currently it has 6 iridium sparkies in there that has done about 10,000kms.

Timing belt was replaced at 95,000km

Has brass button clutch installed at 70,000km

Mods: very standard beside some of the usual...

boost control/valve set at 9psi (Apexi boost gauge)

Pod filter, 3inches Cat back.

18inches deep dish shadow chrome (good tyres) 235f, 265r good tyres

Recaro driver's side only reclinable seat (bonus >$1500)-very comfortable!!!

Have a custom made FMIC but have never installed yet.

Minor stone chips to front bar and bonnet but is no issue... can get it resprayed cheap.

Rego is till Dec 07 (sat in driveway for 6 months for nothing).

price drop to $12 800, must sell!!!

If interested, please email [email protected] and we can arrange inspections etc.

if it doesn't sell by this weekend i will advertise in the trading post or will trade it in. i think i can get a bit more then $12 800, so hurry guys...

Thanks guys.

A VERY SAD DAY!

    • Very true, if buying new, I would not get an PP either. Minimum is an Elite 2500, which is also considered outdated. Get something that supports DBW, delete that cable throttle. Best thing I've ever done to the Skyline, next best is refreshing the A/C with a new condenser. It's cold, but not as cold as modern car, but colder than most 90s JDM shit boxes imported into Australia.
    • Haltech have a nice comparison table between the Elite and Nexus models -  https://www.haltech.com/ecu-buyers-guide/ In general, the Nexus is better. Haltech have some nice product videos on their YouTube page, I'd have a look at those and if you're still not confident what way to go, I'd give them a call. They have the best customer support of any company I've dealt with, I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
    • Not to mention, that the correct diagnostic approach to "electrical thing does not work" is to start with what I outlined above. You only do swaptronics for things that can't be tested really easily, like ignition coils, AFMs, etc etc. And even then you hold your breath in case the fault that possibly killed the original unit kills the swapped in unit too.
    • Unfortunately man I don't think there's much here. You may very well be the only person to ever interact with/modify/have to un-modify that wiring. I was once selling a stalk. Due to how Nissans Nissan, the indicators and the hazards are on the same circuit. if you don't fully plug in the hazard switch, the hazards will work but your indicators won't. People then go looking for indicator stalks, but the issue is the hazard switch not being plugged in fully. That is the entire encyclopedia of R34 indicator knowledge lol
