I just installed an atmo bov HKS SSQ, and blocked the return pipe with a nice blue bottle cap.

And now Im having the common stalling issue on my R32

car is stock aside from the obvious bov

I know I can just switch back to stock bov or plumb a return line on the aftermarket HKS

I've read some people dont even get this problem (lucky bastards!!!)

How do I adjust the idle to go higher a little bit?

dont really wanna buy an aftermarket computer right now too much $$$ from buying the car.

I'd give it a few weeks and I'll go back to stock, I just want to enjoy my 1st turbo car but dont wanna stall everytime i press the clutch or stop at lights.

My HKS bov is one of the 1st series that doesnt have the adjustment bolt to tighten the valve/spring.

For starters, note that BOV's are illegal - a bastard copper will give you a defect notice on the spot plus a nifty fine if he catches you UNLESS..... you get the drift. Does hide and seek mean anything to you?

And no, sorry, I don't have a HKS SSQ so can't help - I got a Greddy one.. makes the meaniest sound... it's like..... VVVVVVVVVOOOOOO TU TU TUT TUTU UTU... LOL

yeah spunky munky is out on a post count mission im pretty sure,

you will find pretty much any atmo venting bov will give u stall issues on a stock line, best thing to do is put up with the stalling for the three months it will take u to get over the friggen noise then go back to stock haha.

had the same issue with my car, everytime i clutched in or stopped the car. it would stall. but this only hjappened after hard accell. normal driving its fine. i have a PFC and thats the only way i know of putting the revs higher. my revs sit at 1000rpm

as aposed to the normal 800

I had the same problem mate. Mine did get better over time though as it seemed to happen less and less. I had the old style HKS Sequential BOV and I just tightened the screw up more and it seemed to go away. Maybe give that a go?

my SSQ doesnt have the adjustment screw/bolt

Today adjusted the idle speed and it didnt stall all the time only once when it wasnt even boosted...funny

I set the idle to 800-900 rpm and seems to be OK but still stalls

I've read that I can use HKS Electronic Idle Stabiliser to overcome this issue.

Might give that a try...

or the more expensive Apexi SAFC

or just save urself a few bucks and go back the stock bov. the issue is ur venting out the air your afm has already measured and this is making ur car run like crap doesnt matter what u do without some sort of air flow/fuel correction your cars gonna stall and be crap to drive. is it really worth the sound??

as I explained from the 1st post I'd like to have it for a weeks then back to stock BOV

just to experience it, Im pretty sure you did as well with your 1st turbo car...

so enough with going back to stock BOV

i know that already

just wanna try and make the stalling a bit bearable.

oh ok then nah worries. yeah i had a blow off valve experienced your probs and took the thing off after 1 hour of having it on. But hey people buy turbo cars for different reasons. Best bet for you would be to buy a cheap safc from ebay it wont make the problem bareable it will fix your prob completely :) good luck.

Having a PFC will FIX the problem,

If you have a PFC and your car still stalling then your TUNER don't know how to TUNE the PFC properly. Apart from that, atmo bov will stall your RB25 as everytime you change gear, the stock ECU will dump a bit of fuel in and now there is no return air, all the suddem your car runs so RICH.

the reason no one ever bothered to solve the problem was that in the end we all realised how pointless it was to try to fix it. You can spend hundreds of dollars trying to solve this problem, buy this and buy that when you can simply solve it for free by putting the stock one back on. For most people, the novelty of the sound wears off after about a couple of weeks and the problem sovlves itself.

I don't know if this will help,but, i read a post a while back about this guy using his stock BOV, and having a vent to atmo. BOV just after the Intercooler pipe. ? you'd have to get a exhaust shop to install it for you and you should be alright. please correct me if I'm wrong.
