Hey guys

ive recently got an HID kit for my car, im just having trouble securing the bulb into the light, the only way i can see is if i drill the old bulb holder out and mount the new bulb in that, but i dont want to do that unless i know its going to work....

can someone explain or send me a pic of the back of their headlight..

thanks all

this one has a rubber gasget behind the bulb that i think needs to be slightly trimmed in the middle to hold the globe in thats all, only realised that yesterday..

i know you wouldnt use them, ive read the threads.. but im sick of my shit lighting at the moment and this was cheap cheap so chuck it in and see how it goes i guess

yeah ive got the metal clip to hold the globe in, works fine on the stock plastic thing that the shitglobes stick into, but unless i drill the centre out of it and somehow mount it in the plastic things ive got a gap between where the globe sits on the headlight and where the metal clip sits

if you get it? something like a washer would kinda work but we have tried all of that... get it? kinda?

The plastic thing you're talking about, is it the cap thing? Or are you talking about the dust cover? If I remember correctly, I took out my plastic holder thing (but I've got H3 globes to replace the H3C). I just took out the plastic thing, held the globe in by the clip and left the dust cover there to stop the dust :)

Not too sure if that made any sense to you :laughing-smiley-014:

WELL they are finally in!

Alot of scratching of heads and testing things and ive finally got them in.....

It goes something like this

Bulb........3x small cable ties tied to each other behind the bulb to act as a spacer...... a washer with a groove cut out of it to be able to get the hid clip through... then almost a full circle washer (plastic) that came in the kit(bulb protector part).... then the stock metal clip to hold it all in there...

its as firm as i could get it...

looks awesome

bright as

cutoff line is perfect!

hey man ive got hid in my car. friggen awesome :worship:

using h3c as well, i got it on a group buy - brand is called techone

although mine arnt aligned properly, lol i think i broke the thing to allign them cuz its not moving anymore haha, but good enuff for me :(

only problem is sometimes wen i turn on the light the left (passenger) side doesnt turn on, so i jus turn it back on and off till it does, any ideas?

Bought this kit from 666DAN

Hanyou, the problem is most likely in the actual switch for the headlights as all power runs through the switch... same problem with mine occasionally passenger side wont come on... quick flick of the switch a few times and she comes on....

New switch from nissan would be the fix.. but meh dosent bother me

Congratulations.

One question.. why didn't you buy a set of H3's that would have fit, instead of H1's..?

On the switch issue, do a search, it has been covered how to repair the switch yourself.

because my standard headlights are H1, and are wired for H1............. :D

damn they look good! no need for highbeam at all!
