Trav33
Nice work, what sort of LCD are you running? I admire people who spend the time making their carputer look custom. I personally wouldnt do it, because i like being able to easily remove and upgrade/change things if they break. Crans
My dash souround wasnt perfect to begin with clips broken and scratched up so it didnt bother me cutting it up. If i want to go back to standard i will just buy a new one. The wiring in my dash was pritty dodged up so im gonna enjoy redoing the lot. The screen seams pritty good so far. wasn't a real cheap one either but if i hjave problems i will buy a nice expensive one. With a bit of paint it should look pritty good. BTW im in perth and its the only small patch of grass at the house so its easy to keep green got the screen from here http://www.phoenixitd.com.au/products/carpc.html If you dont want to cut up your dash they have a motorized one Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/171869-indash-touchscreen/#findComment-3166761 Share on other sites
ceedub
Very Nice! Great job. I have the same screen setup in my 'line. Would lke to know more about how this plastic welding stuff works. I've secured mine in a complicated way from the inside of the console. Pics should be in a post titled "GTR carputer" or similar Regarding reliabilty - I've had mine since October '06 - no complaints so far Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/171869-indash-touchscreen/#findComment-3167499 Share on other sites
